Hi. I'm having the problem with my laptop my brightness control not working correctly, I have to set max brightness to 0 if I turn the brightness to 100% my laptop turn almost black and another issue is my screen keep flicker when I don't plug in my AC cable. I ran diagnostic 3 times and show everything is normal and up to date. Do you have any suggestion? my laptop is only 2-year-olds.

Would you recommend for photo editing? I process hundreds of RAW files a day on lightroom and need something more powerful than my i3 Toshiba. I found one of these for 550 with 16gb RAM, i7, 1tb HDD and 4k display. Also can you swap the HDD for SSD yourself?

I am also using INSPIRON 7548 bought in 2015 for about $650. Its i5, 6GB at that time. I upgraded RAM and to an SSD. Also replaced Battery in 2020. Screen quality is the best. And no issues so far except I do clean reinstall every 2 years. I prefer this to a Mac book Pro. I use iPhone's and other apple products.

GREAT front facing speakers, for a laptop lnfo.help/-dellInspiron? Spacious stereo imaging and the laptop actually gets loud. There is even a little bit of genuine bass. A lot better than low end external speakers, and on par with a Beats Pill.
Can you please review the 2019 version, it looks like a beast. Same internals as the XPS15 and it's a slightly bigger chassis so the thermals could be quite good

I bought this laptop 3 years ago and the hinges have now failed and its has fallen apart. I think i will try an Acer next.

good luck having linux on 4k display. muahahahadisplay resolution increase is going way ahead of gpu technology could handle. most of the gpu on market today cannot even handle some 3D application well in full HD and HD. 4k is not worth it, only the top cards could barely handle them well. getting 4k on a laptop is ridiculous. it also consumes more battery life.

Has anyone had to update bios after installing the keyboard?
What does the plastic do ? I removed mine to replace the keyboard and peeled it. Does it necessary ?
Will the 7548 allow you to replace key caps (I have 2 that are miss-marked) or does the whole keyboard need to be replaced?
Geez-oh-pete, after about the 10th step I started thinking that I must be on Candid Camera. After all of the "remove the screws" and remove the part, what was left? A picture of Michael Dell grinning at us? I worked as a computer technician for about 6 years and never have I seen such a buried piece of hardware. Great video though.
Thank you so much for this! I wrote down the steps and plan to walk back to instal the new keyboard. I will keep you posted. If it works, I will upload a video to put it back together. I plan to put a link for those who want first to reach ths deepl embedded keyboard. I love my computer and hope this works. I was just worried about grounding myself. Is it something I should worry about, anybody?

What engineer designed this Used to be able to take a couple of screws off from the FRONT and pull the keyboard. ugh.
