Mine randomly stopped cutting on one day. (No it’s not dead)
Purchased two Dell laptops over the past year, one being a 15 5000, and both have bad hard drives already and won't boot. I'm spending my day off to spread the word out of concern and respect so you don't go through the same extreme frustrations I have, please don't purchase a Dell!

Thanks Man, really appreciate the review! We almost bought this model. Unfortunately after noticing the IPS screen only produces 220 Nits and has a low color gamut made this a “hard pass”. Not good for working outdoors.

Sound's like this model would NOT be good for photo editing with the display issues. I actually like the Dell 7559 model better, but I don't like the matte IPS display it comes with. and wish the 7559 had a glossy screen.
I have this exact model. It barely runs google chrome, RAM and CPU are terrible, and the fan is obnoxiously loud. It's a rip off, do not buy, it's practically a scam.

Too bad Dell ignores the huge design defect that keeps happening for a few years now with Dell Inspiron 2in1 laptops where the right side hinge plastic snaps after one year and you cannot even close your laptop anymore. Even worse, Dell is not covering this under the warranty putting the fault on the customer as accidental damage. There is no e-mail to discuss with anyone about this issue, there is only a phone number where you get the same answer (useless) and Dell knows about this for so long time and not doing anything to fix it. Thousands and thousands of customers posting exactly the same issue, blaming Dell for not acknowledging this design defect, not fixing it and even worse, not paying back the customers that cannot use their laptop after 1 year.
Don’t ever get this laptop. Worse laptop ever. It Has 4k but barely runs videos in 4k without lagging really hard. Also, it cant even run softwares without overheating and crashing i got this laptop freshman year 2016 and it would randomly shut off everytime i was doing my engineering hw.

I just bought the $1100 version on best buy. I bought an open box excellent certified one, so it was basically brand new out of the box. Buying open box let me get it for $760 which was a great discount for a laptop that looks and feels brand new.
