Little bit unfortunate timing because the last 3 videos have all consecutively offered something the best that I have seen, but I can confidently say this is among the very best because it's class leading in its performance and its keyboard, and I think those 2 things make the biggest impact to the experience.One thing I'd also like to address is that I measure thermal performance not based on temperatures alone, but how many watts the CPU and GPU can dissipate. Wattage can be compared directly against any other laptop regardless of the CPU or GPU it's running, but things like clock speed and temperature (temps by itself) cannot because they depend on other variables.

ive had this exact laptop for about 6 months and its already starting to wear out because when im playing games(fortnite) my fps will just drop from 180 to like 15-30 and its really annoying so and as you said it gets really hot and overall its not as good as it was when i first got it and im thinking of selling it for buying a gaming pc

I have this laptop with the i7-9750H and the RTX 2060. I have some comments. If your considering this laptop for playing games, it's great. It does get hot like everyone says but ATM I don't think the average user should be advise to under volt it. TBH setting the thermal setting in the control center to "cool" and power to "balanced" has allowed me to play COD:MW on everything set to the highest settings at >60 FPS and the GPU sits at a temperature of about 75 and the processor at about 85 degrees Celsius. If you're a power user a thin and light WILL run hot. Doesn't matter who makes it ATM. You can re-paste and under volt and you will gain some performance but the temperature will stay high. My honest opinion, use the settings prescribed above, use a cooling pad and play whatever games are available currently just fine. This laptop is incredible. I really like it. 1 complaint, the shiny plastic bezel is gross.

I'm looking at the same exact model except mine only comes with a GTX 1060 without the "i" . It's 1700 Canadian so the same price as the predator Helios 300 not sure which one I should go with as there's a lot of Fanboys for the Helios but I trust Dell a little more

What I really hate about their laptop line is that I bought the 13 r2 I think it was a few years back and theyve already come out with 3+ newer models since then which hey, thats on me for not waiting longer or whatever. Its just that it feels like once the new stuff is out, immediately their past lines are discontinued and forgotten about :/ and service is really iffy.

I have noticed 2 issues with my Alienware M15 R3, running windows 10.a. when I put it into sleep mode it sometime just decides to just shut down.b. when I close the lid it also decides to shut down.have you ever noticed this issue?
