One customer asked me(IT Technician) as advice for psu , I told him to buy a decent one(550watt 80+) for his new assembled computer,but he invested good money on everything except psu and went with cheap psu. He brought cheap psu and his gpu was dead after 2 weeks(capacitors inside psu bursted, mosfets sort circuited) Lol and Rip, now he's blaming me for his damage. #stubbornclientjackass
I learned about what is bad about cheap psu via hard way. I bought my first pc with such psu in 2013, at that time, I was a dummy. Within 5-6 years, my motherboard, ram, graphics card(non gaming, Radeon 6570), UPS all is dead. 😭😭 I had to change basically everything(sold my old Processor too). Brand PSU is the real love. So silent. 😍

By using a power meter, I determine that my maximum power consumption was 350W, so I went from a 750W bronze rated PSU to a 550W platinum rated PSU and the idle power consumption decreased from 105W to 90W. The problem with PSU's which are at or near operating wattage is that noise is introduced which will affect downstream Audio and Video components. I got a pre built cyberpower gaming pc, and it is great. But the monitor keeps on blacking out every few minutes, the pc won't turn on sometimes. It's really annoying and I think I need a new power supply. The pc does turn on when I mess with the cords (Connected to the power supply thats why i think i need a new one). I didn't think about the PSU when I built my rig and grabbed a 550w PSU. Only reason it concerned because I had to call on a friend to help me hook the PSU up. Everything else was easy. I know I'm going to need to upgrade it pretty soon I'ma just wait for how next Gen gaming look before I upgrade my 2060 super and PSU.

Sir. What do you think about my current PSU - Depcool DE 530, which is 350 real wats, rated 400 or 450-, but real power is 350 wats. Acording to the calculator my system draws maximum 275 and recomendation is 325. I am asking this because my PSU started to have so called "coil whine" after I upgraded my GTX 750 Ti - 75wat to gtx 1060 -120wat. That was about 18 months ago. WIth GTX 750Ti it didnt make coil whine. I've recently upgraded from G4560 to i3-10100F and MSI B460M-A PRO and the PSU started to whine when CPU loads full power. They says coil whine doenst necessarily mean some is wrong with the PSU, but some friend advices me to get a new more powerfull PSU. I dont gaming much and not everyday. So what do you say abiut this? Thank you.

I wish moduler PS were cheaper. They're so much cleaner in the case. A lot of people could benefit from this while building a computer. It's better to have a little extra power than not enough. PSUs will often loose a little power over time too from my experience. Nice video Dennis!
