I used to have one of these, it played so nice and the generic dimebuckers actually sounded good and was heavy as fuck. I regret selling it but I had to pay rent so that was a big bummer
Bought one of these back in 08, no complaints with mine. Even the stock pickups sound good.

its not etched its drawn in with a sharpie and the lightning bolt paint job was a buddy blaze origional design and he gifted the guitar to dime after dime had asked him if he'd build him a guitar. 🤟🏻

Today my dads friend let me play on his shadow and it was an amazing guitar! Took a bit of getting used to but it was great!

Your story on the design is ass backwards. Dimebag won the Dean from hell as a regular Dean ml. He sold it to his friend who made the custom paint job. Then have it back to dime
I hate seeing Dimebag Darrell guitars that say made in China it really gives me a different perspective on who he was I guarantee you if I'm famous none of my guitars are going to come from f****** China I only say this because I thought I hit the jackpot and I got a dean Dimebag Darrell blue Lightning Bolt guitar just to find out it was a made in China it still plays very good and I'm about to upgrade it but it's just the principle anything that says made in China is normally made very cheap and not very good
I just bought the guitar.. it showed up unplayable .. as in springs were off the bridge and the locks were not loose but off the nut rattling around in the box and the toggle switch was cutting out the bridge pickup.. basically the only pickup I use.. anyways.. after some TLC its a solid guitar.. to bad they couldn't put it together right from the factory...
How do you know it is made in china? I am looking to buy a dean from hell signature which has a certificate and is one of those made 150. Can you tell me how to differ these from the "made in china" stuff? Because it will be very expensive and I don't wanna get scammed

I think it’s kinda funny how she went through the pain of putting the correct sticker on it, but didn’t bother with the sharpied THE dean FROM HELL! On the headstock. Lol Killer guitar though, probably gonna get one. I’m taking a sharpie to the headstock, though! Just my preference.

The new dean Chinese dime models compared to the same guitars that were made previously in Korea with worse licensed Floyd's are lightyears better right out of the box. If ur nervous bout the Chinese models dont be they're sent to dean hq in the usa and checked off by the same dudes who are making the custom shop usa guitars and then sent to distributors just like the great prs guitars. Dean has completely switched up their game and the guitars are what dimebag would ok rather than what they were selling previously which would need upgrades to be on par with these new Chinese models I have the new fbd and it's amazing keep dean alive and check em out they got a bad rap from previous models out of different factories they've listened to the players and revamped the whole dimebag series invest in one today you wont want to put it down

I do not buy dean guitars, because they did not improve build quality over the years. This model will have GUARANTEED POCKET CRACKS. I had bought dean skulls razorback from official distributor, and graphics were awful, how that crap came from the factory? The answer is NO QUALITY CONTROL AT ALL!
