After buying the DWR-921 JB Hi-Fi in Melbourne (awesome service from JB HiFi in my long trail of swapping/upgrading routers even during COVID lockdown) and the 921 having mega freezes when left on permanently, firmware updates which don't work and so changing it for NIGHTHAWK LTE WIFI6 ROUTER and it's the best thing I have ever done. The NightHawk is just so much better - it is an awesome machine and has external WiFi antennas and also two external antenna ports for an external 4GLTE antennas. The front end set up has an app for the non technical (you can still log onto the router via WiFi or the 4 x ethernet ports) which is awesome and it also has port indication for each ethernet port which was on the 921, not on the 956 and now back on nighthawk, a front isolation button to turn off the WiFi which is a nice thing for security when going away etc.. The nighthawk app lets you test the internet speed at the machine but via your iPad or mobile which is very smart but the increased WiFi speed to new and old Mobiles is amazing. I expected that for new mobiles only but not for an old SE iPhone.On the DWR-956 speed was say 10 to 25Mbps down and 20 to 30Mbps up the nighthawk is 40 down and 40 up in day time. At night the sky is the limit. The nighthawk really has the smarts - do yourself a favour and pay the extra and get it. We use this machine at home not as wired ethernet backup but to get rid of the Australian NBN forever (wired national broadband network which was AU$60/month for 12 to 20Mbps down and 3 to 5Mbps up) and have replaced with this 4G router to save money. On our mobile plan AU$5 per month for an extra SIM.
