I love this mascara. I have a tip for you to help your lashes curl on the eye you were having issues with. Use your other hand to apply the mascara on that eye. That way it is applied the same on each eye. That tip made a world of difference for me when I started doing it.
Use the brush with the curve aimed upward to lift the lashes - it looks like you're using it upside down
