Remember when the cover girl lipstick style concealer had a collaboration with Olay? It was their lipstick style concealer with Olay in it similar to their foundation with Olay In it. I wonder if they're newer one is the same formulation because I never underestimate those concealer sticks they are one of the greatest recovering blemishes and for heavy duty cover ups if you can't afford things like the kevyn acuoin sensual skin enhancer. I always say liquid concealers are best for under eyes and overall redness, more solid cream-based concealers are best for blemishes and heavy duty dark circles under the eyes, or just wherever you want a more heavy duty coverage. My trick has always been to go in with a liquid concealer under the eyes, and a cream concealer for all the blemishes and spots that need heavy duty coverage that won't slip and slide.
I totally love the dream matte mousse. The dream matte mousse blush was the first release and I remember being so obsessed. I remember they came out with foundation and eventually concealer and shadows. Something about them coming in a little glass jar made it feel more luxurious and almost like you were using a high-end product (15 yes ago anyway) or around 15 years ago who knows how long exactly. I know I was young LOL. I owned each one and a few of the cream shadows and this is where my love of moussey, whipped makeup started. Just something about the way it applies! Love it
Wow that eyeshadow surprised me.
Add Balm Dessert to the list from The Balm 😁
Classic soft look..the lip paired perfectly with the eye I thought! ....and the comment..... "why do I have all those palettes?' 😂😂
Hi Emily! You’re lucky you have a very nice upper eyelid shape and a perfect space for applying eyeshadow beautifully! How about helping us with droopy eyelids here on how to apply our eyeshadows to enhance and uplift our eyes. I enjoy watching your tutorials! you’re so natural! Thank you! 👍🏻😘
Every time I see Dream Matte I want to buy it lol. Gosh I loved that stuff. And they also had blush too that was awesome.
YES to that e.l.f illuminating palette! 💖💖💖
This is such a pretty soft look
This video idea is so creative. You never fail to impress me.
I used that CoverGirl stick in hs lol
I use the elf brow pencil and I barely have any brow hairs of my own. My secret hack is that after I apply it and use the spoolie, I apply the translucent setting powder with a small dense brush. I push it into the brow and brush through. Lasts all day!
Where can we find the video with the mink demo?
I absolutely love your channel, Emily. Every time I come here, I learn something, I am reminded of something, I'm given tips I should have thought about and didn't and it's like sitting in with my sister or best friend having a coffee break and reminiscing! That Covergirl eyeshadow brings back memories! The scents are what bring me back to high school times! The mascara I used was the "dial a lash". Do you remember that one?! Thank you for being such a great place to come a visit!
Here comes Emily with creative videos, not the same old recycled crap! That’s why she will always be the OG of YouTube for me! 💞💞
I just got the Mulan blush in the mail today and it is gorgeous!
Love your makeup tutorial videos! I need all the help I can get 😅....Did your melasma go away after your pregnancy?
For eyeliner that seems unimpressive, I always think of the e.l.f. liquid liner, packaged similarly to the Milani Stay Put liner. It used to be $2 and one tiny little bottle would last me forever. It's super pigmented and I could always get some good wings. Now that I live in Texas I've had to switch to waterproof/sweatproof everything so it doesn't melt off my face.
I used an Almay stick concealer for YEARS!!! I loved it!!!
Hi there! I noticed you mentioned that you're always on the lookout for things looking heavy/cakey in the undereye area. I've found it helps A LOT a lot if you don't put foundation in the undereye area and then pile concealer on top of that. It's a lot of product on such a delicate, thin skin spot. Of course setting powder helps but still, i thought I'd share that with you ❤ ALSO - what RT brush are you using to blend your concealer? I've always used either the bare minerals concealer brush when using their pressed power foundation, but for cream stick or other concealers i use fingers lol. I like your brush tho I'm wondering what it is
loved the lippie!!!

...wait girl, who got mad about your video title? I totally understand that other races can be this skin color so it's not right to make them feel excluded. So if that's why they got mad, I can see why. But it better not have been overly fake tan people who are actually not Latino or another ethnicity for that matter getting all sensitive. That is just stupid.
I clicked it because of the title! So thank you! 🙋🏻♀️☺️ I actually just found your channel and I’m obsessed😍
Very nice look
You're always so much fun to watch.
And those ruby red lips....hubba, hubba!!!😘
Wow. You look gorgeous with very cheap products. I wNt to try that highlighter. I will definitely be picking up a CG smoother. I had forgotten about these. Old school! I remember really liking them.
I’m still looking for my holy grail concealer - how does that one compare to other ones like it, for example IT Bye Bye under eyes - I liked the original one of that but the repackaged ones seem drier. Thanks! You look awesome in taupe colors. Keep doing videos like this - I’ve never heard of Doll 10.
Great Video & Always Stunning 🌹
Yeah what is it with all that fuss with all " CLEAN, VEGAN, RAW, ORGANIC, etc etc etc " mumbo jumbo bla bla bla jajajaja...they use more marketing on the SUPER MEGA claims than what their products can really deliver .....I sometimes feel that the market is just desperate and lies because there is so much cannibalism between the brands now a days, every one is trying to have a piece of the cake....in the OLD DAYS there where like Estee Lauder, and the big designers Chanel, Dior and on the drugstore side, Maybelline, Loreal, Cover Girl and Revlon....and that was about it....they surely did get rich if we think about all those years they owned the market of cosmetics, cause there was no one else out there to compete, but now....there are GAZILLION of NEWCOMERS, PLUS ALL these new CLEAN....more and more....where is the market going to, what can we expect for the future??? if we are NOW overwhelmed with the amount of NEW RELEASES....we do not know where to turn to or who´s review to trust...and the levels of anxiety dear ........hugs from Denmark!
My friend loves that foundstion! You can't find it everyehere around us
LOVE that orange lippie on you!
Totally agree with the “clean” movement going on. I can’t watch the channels that judge people who don’t use it. Some of us can’t afford to use all the over priced products b
I totally forgot about CG Smoothers! Looks so pretty:)
Maybelline PLEASE PLEASE go cruelty free!!! That Dream Lumi concealer was always a huge favourite 👍.
That contour shade is perfect. I’m not sure if we can get Jordanna in Canada? I’m compiling this huge list of things I’m going to look for next time I’m in the U.S. 😉
Awesome video Rebecca!💕
Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
I really enjoy your vlogs, thank you! The 'clean' thing is cloudy to me as well. I use mineral oil to remove my makeup, based on dermatologist recommendations...which works well and is super affordable! However, I am switching (as much as possible) to cruelty free products, so thanks for mentioning that when you can!
What shade was the Maybelline Tattoo shadow pot?
I agree completely! Clean is a marketing myth. I follow Lab Muffin on IG and listen to the Beauty Brains podcast. They talk a lot about this topic.
I just recently purchased an ABH brow pencil... yes I'm years behind the curve lol. But I have to say I won't repurchase. There's too many other brands which are much more affordable and just as good, if not better.
I hear you on the “clean” talk. It’s definitely overhyped atm. I’ve never seen that CG foundation. I swear we only get half the stuff you guys gets and we have to pay 4 times as much.
I have the Doll 10 2 and like it very much. I found the 3 on HSN and ordered it a couple of days ago. It seems to have more color than the 2. I also like the brush that comes with the palette. I had a 20% off 1item and felt obligated to use it.
I really enjoyed this video because I learned a lot. I enjoyed how you applied the products and I definitely will be picking up the Jordana contour stick and a Revlon blush. ❤️❤️
I remember when CG Smoothers was an entire line at Covergirl. The AquaSmooth compact foundation was good too. I need to buy it again.
You can say it loud and proud! Getting ridiculous with the “clean” overly expensive skincare and cosmetics.
I so agree with you on how these brands that have been around since the year 1 get disregarded or forgotten about. CoverGirl was my 1st mascara brand back in high school and recently I've rediscovered their products and love them! The line of Lash Blast mascaras are soo good! A couple are clunkers but overall very good. :) Love their eyeshadows too! And I'm glad you talked about preservatives in cosmetics. I was one of those who believed all the hysteria about parabens when they are actually some of the safest ingredients in cosmetics. Better safe than sorry for sure. That Maybelline highlighting concealer is one of my favorites. I love to use it on the tops of my cheekbones and forehead. :) Wet n Wild gel lip liner IS my HG, ride or die!! :D
Euphoria and Rendezvous
Great video! I always loved Cover Girl cosmetics. My second go to powder besides the OG Clean was the MoistureWear pressed powder, it came in a green compact case. Does anyone remember that one? It applied so smooth and worked great with my dry skin. My face looked so smooth and velvety... I wish they bring it back! 😍
Long lasting lips I discovered are the Rimmel Stay MATTE liquid lip color. Pink Bliss is nude. My favorite is Heartbeat. It is a pinky berry. They last me all day, not too drying and really affordable. Also, the triangle twist packaging helps me find it amongst all my other lip colors. Love ya Em! PS the new stay Satin by Rimmel is pretty good too.
So happy they are cruelty free. Yay 💕🎆
Cover girl has done it right! I’m right with you where everyone has their grade school fave they still can’t live without! I love the smoothers cream foundation In the big blue compact..so good for dry skin
Im trying the covergirl lidlock primer today ❤️ so exciteing
Curious what you think of the Covergirl Exhibitionist mascara? I have the crappiest lashes on earth that never seem to hold a curl, but I was really surprised by this one!! Only worn it a couple days, but the curl is still strong after the 10 hour mark all 3 days!
My OG Cover girl fav product would definitely have to be the eyeshadow trio or quad called Countrywoods. I definitely hit pan and used up all colors at least three times possibly four from my junior and senior years of high school
Oh wow, I’ve been using some of these products since the 80s! The loose powder, the 3 pan blush, and I have a smoothers pressed powder in my purse - love the mirror! I also use the BB cream, FKA tinted moisturizer. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
I LOVE the lipsticks in the creme finish. The matte looks too dry on my lips I'll imho. The eyeshadow look turned out so pretty, I love it.
What a great video. You’re he only person I can think of who would make me consider buying drugstore (I get high end stuff free many times because I work in cosmetics). So kudos!
Trublend minerals was my shizzzz. Super good coverage. Yes it had shimmer and only Blake 3 shades and the lightest was too dark so I always looked like I had a tan😂
We all just got schooled on CoverGirl products both old and new and will be adding them back into my collection as other products are finished. I even used a CoverGirl lipstick today. And I picked up a tub of Noxema.
Picking things up with toes is a special talent that few of us can say we have mastered. I do it all the time and we are special.
I'd love to see you do a video with David! I know he challenged you on the 30 days of glitter challenge but I'd love to see him do videos with you in 2019!
I started using noxema again😂 $3 for a huge tub! I put it on like a mask and massage. I love the smell😍
Emily you sure know your make-up, you are so pretty. xoxo
Yes, the "old school" CG products!! I've used many diff formulas of their mascaras over the years & have had great performance from each plus NO smearing. (Lash Blast Fusion is my all time fave.). Their eye pencils with the smudgers are great. I've repruchased Country Woods (started wearing that in middle schools and still love it!!), Shimmering Sands shadows, blushes in assorted colors, many times. I enjoy their new stuff too, but I constantly live in fear they will discontinue the oldies, lol. Their 3 in 1 compact foundation is great and easy to mix shades with the included sponge or a brush too. Over summer I used Soft Hiney (Honey but I left the type cuz I find it funny!). Normally I am Ivory, Creamy Natural, Buff Beige...I could go on and on...guess that already happened, hahaha! Anyway my CG products get a lot more use than my Too Faced and UD. Oh and YES, went thru many of the compact powders back in middle/high school!!!
I recommend trying the 3-in-1 Outlast All Day foundation. It has primer, concealer, and foundation in one. I've been using it for a while now and I love it. One positive thing is that I don't look like a grease ball in the summer.
So glad you like our new (and old!) products! Loving the look😍😍
