hi! i have 2 4gb Corsair XMS3 1600 mhz and my mobo can only read 1333 mhz...can i do something for this?? i have intel i5 2400 cpu and a foxconn h67-s mobo...

I need some help I have DDR3 ram in my laptop but it's just 3GB (1 + 2) running at 1066 MHz I have 2 slots I want to upgrade to 8 GB 1600Mhz And use in one slot But can I put a DDR3L into DDR3 slot and also what about the speed ? I've got this RAM, 12GB in my MoBo (2 four gigs and 2 two gigs). Been using it since 2012, still use it today, happy with it.
Just got 3 sticks of 8 myself, going to install them later today

As a fellow Razethew0rld follower, I tend to believe everything they say but they do also say that there is hardly any difference between any of the RAM you can buy these days. I am currently using this RAM but about 10 mins ago my new RAM turned up (for a new build I'm doing) and the new RAM is technically worse than my current but it seems to be more compatible for my new system as it has an XMP profile and probably works better with my new CPU. Will be minimal difference between them though.
Eventually I will. Maybe soon, actually, now that you've reminded me. I'm just trying to figure out if a higher clock speed would be worth it or not. Logan from "razethew0rld" seems to really love Kingston's HyperX Beast. However with my cooler, the Noctua NH-D14 I would have clearance issues, so I would have to remove the heatsinks, which may not be possible (and the ram then might overheat). Just thinking out loud, thanks for listening.
RAM is kinda cheap so if the only reason not to get more is 'there is no point' I think you should just get more ;)
