Hi. That was a decent and timely video. I upgraded my late 2011 MBP 15" (2.2 GHz Intel Core i7) from 2 x4GB @1333GHz to Timetec 2x8GB @1600, about a week ago. I haven't noticed any difference in performance, opening programs, multitasking, multiple tabs active, etc. Not a single lick of difference. If anything, it frequently seems to have slowed such things down considerably, with the fan running high much of the time. The ram was recognized immediately. I even did a reset a couple of times. Tried many things, and have plenty of space 200GB+ on the 500GB Samsung SSD 840 PRO (upgrade as of last year). The SSD clearly made a difference. Hoping to have seen further improvement(s) after the ram upgrade, only to be disappointed. At this point I don't know whether to try another same set of ram, or "downgrade" to 1333GHz. I've researched tirelessly with every step I've taken, but no definitive answer/proof of what would be best. Anyways, thanks for reading all this. Have a blessed day.

I bought 2 sets of Timetec ram for 2 of my HP TouchSmart 9100 and the memory has the same specs as the OEM ram but I can't get the computer to booth with any of that Timetec ram.
Im using an unusual brand of ram from china. Name is Yruis ddr4 2400 Ghz. 2x8 GB. Im using it almost 1 year now and I dont see any signs of failure. We dont really need a glowing ram to game

Great video! I was actually looking for buying another ram because my corsair ram wasn't working that smooth (i installed it yesterday) and its not this black version but the "classic green" one. I thought the ram is damaged or whatever because with my 8 gigs of ram, my chrome was smooth whenever you changed the size of the tab or whatever. But if its really like you've said in the video, then ill be waiting some 2 or 3 days till it works smooth again. Anyway sry for the book i just wrote. Thanks a lot for the advice!
