Corsair Carbide 100R: The Little Case That Could.
Corsair 100R Mid Tower Case Review
Just bought this case for a freinds build as he needed a case with bays for his dvd burner
what about the base metallic structure of the case ?does it bend easily? or its strong/fat?
2:33 I dont have the silent edition so I just have a square hole in the back of the case above the fan. What do I do to cover it? I wish I can just buy the 3 speed fan controller.
I chose it because I had two 5.25 optical drives and a pcie usb3 card with front header internal connector, so it was a feature compatible replacement for my gear, a bonus it came was a stealth case haha
Can we get an F for NCIX
is the airflow bad or much worse than the 200r?
I do not recommend anyone buying this case, mainly cause of the extremely poor airflow through the case with the front panel on. Even though I have two 900RPM 140mm Be-Quiet Shadow Wing fans in the front running at full speed, as soon as I put on the front panel, my temperatures instantly sky rocket by +10 on the GPU and +8 on the CPU. It's actually insane how much the front panel affects the airflow of the case.
Wow Dimitri looks like a baby here
Wish NCIX was still around. Funny to get an ad for them. : S
Still one of the best cheap cases. Dont really like all the new cases with PSU covers
This is one of two cases I'm looking at, mostly because the expensive ones are a bit gaudy for my taste. The only problem I have with this one is limited space/compatibility for water cooling should I decide to go that route.
Well I'm getting that PC case in 2020, it must be great.
this will be for my i7 :D enough bays to storage and cds disc drive ! I'm convinced with this video.
Now that's the review I was looking for
I just bought one. Building a budget AMD system. Kind of tired of my 8 year old AMD 8 core PC. It was a beast when I build it and it runs great now, just a little afraid of it not being able to keep up with software.
Great review!! Helped my decision on my dads build.
Is this PC good?
Building in this case soon with a Micro ATX motherboard. It looks like a bit of competition to Fractal but at a much better price for a silent case. Great review as always!
looking for a new case for my 10 year old i7 pc... doesn't look like my old cpu NOC coller will clear might be reaaaly tight
How did you route that CPU Cable through the back. there simply is not enough room! Mine just sits across the front...…….
Isme MSI-B450 set hoga kia
Kafi plastic ke main sab jaanta Hoon manual padhne ki jarurat nahin hahahahahaha😂😂🤣. Is pc Case me Koy plastic nahe ..wo acrylic panel side me laga howa he bake sab metal or steel hai Aur bhai btw ye Koy GAMING pc nahe .ye sirf case 😜🤭
Cpu cooler model number?
came here from amazon
mai amazone se aaya hu unboxing dekhne ke liye
Jaise ki maine system build ke bahut sare videos dekhe hain uske hisab se I think cpu cooler ka fan system fan ke opposite side me hona chahiye tha.
What is this cpu fan pls
Bro give me your number
What a Nice video
WHy didnt you show how to open the front facade panel to mount fans ???? Thats pretty basic and should be covered right ?
Me who IS a gamer and doesn’t care about showing off: perfect 😎
Yeah i think this is the perfect case for the pc im gonna build for my father. Simple design.
I have this case and I'm upgrading my parts on it, my question is where would be the best spot for a radiator. Would it be the back or the front....or the top??
Corsair said the.mesh part on top has an filter. I did not see one is there one there?
No front intake? Im actually confused where to install it lol. Screws dont seem to line up.
Cheapest I've paid is 10 quid for a case and most is 39 quid for the bitfenix nova
Remove hard drive cage, put hard drives in cd rom area. Add extra fan on the bottom and point psu inward. I love this case,2700x and a 2080 Black. And just remove the front panel, I get 55c on my 2080 and about 58c all under game load with no overclock. I ranked in the top 5% on Firestrike with this build.
What about this case do you consider not good for a gamer? I was looking for cases to use in my rig, and this particular one caught my eye because of the clean appearance and how the window doesn't take up the entire panel. If there's a better case with those qualifications, I would love to be pointed in the right direction. The "it can be smashed by a five-year-old" comment worries me too. Does it feel about as durible as a weak plastic? Is it basically just cardboard?
1:35 Where the hell is the I/O shield
Does it come with a fan or did you already have the fan that turned on around 2:50?
cant get the power connected to the motherboard, how to?
You know works nice, if you can take the time.. lightly ryno line top and side panels, touch it off with satin black after it dries and you can make this case every bit as silent and solid feeling as a $300 aluminum case. Like you I was skeptical about it. Not bad for the price, that's for sure.
i wanted to watch a review on the case, but my concern is the air flow, wonder if it get to hot for the lack of aie and hard drive Racks that cover some of the fan flow, does it have a CD/DVD Rack?
do eatx mobo's fit in there?
What are the dimensions of the window?
Which case is better? This or the Bitfenix Nova TG
How quiet is this tower? As this is the non-silent edition.
You forgot I/O
Thank you!
the one thing that I don't like about these cases is the width, and the lack of room for cable management up the back of the motherboard. the location of the fan speed controller is quite bad too. it is a cheap case with a more expensive logo on the front that adds a good 50% to the price of this case. even with the very cheap meterials that it is made from, making it arounf 20-30 mm taller and 20-30mm wider for rear cable management, and moving the fan speed selector to the front panel would vastly improve this case
Not one joker on youtube shows how to open the front panel for fan installation. They state the obvious, here there some cables, this is the back plate, like i cant fucking see that ? And this is not even 100R...its 100R silent....bec i have the 100R and it has an acrylic peep window.
Thanks for the review. Subsequently, I decided to buy this case. For future videos you build, please place a front light, shining on the side of the object being reviewed, so I can see detail. The case, which I wanted to see, was quite dark and only when you turned the case was I able to see -- still with no detail.
Nice to here some one that does not Bitch all the time when he is reviewing a computer case!
From 2020: Goodbye Wade
What about the top. I was told by corsair there is a mesh area for fan but if I dont want to use the fan there is a filter
Does anyone know if I can purchase those hdd trays? I broke one :(
Thanks already bought one.
I feel dumb as hell but I cant figure out how to get a 120mm fan in the front of the case lol
The 200R, which costs a few dollar more, lets you install fans on the side of the case that would be right on top of your graphics card(s), adding a few degrees of cooling. Those with high-end graphics cards that could run hot may consider that.
Does anyone know where i can get 1 of these drive bays for my case! i have this exact case but i dont have any extra trays for my new hard drive!
OK! The pwm fan connectors were confusing the shit out of me. lolol I was like, "WHY GOD ARE YOU HERE?!?!" nothing in the manuel about them and are in such an annoying position for management.
I'm making my first build with this case and I am unsure of how to connect my fans to the regulator and since I'm using a liquid cooler I don't know if I should just ignore the regulator. If anyone finds a video of how to do so with a liquid cooler please send me the link.
More detail about the CPU power cable would be great. Not all PSU's have flat cables, will those work from behind the mother board or not?
Does anyone know if I can lock this case with a regular paslock? some computer case have a small "hook" at the back so we can use a regular padlock to keep it locked. I want to prevent students from opening the case and steal things inside (memory and such). There seems to be a little thing for that, but I'm unable to find information about it.
Hi, Thanks for the review. Will the non silent variant support 9.6"x8.8" micro ATX Board ( Asus Prime B250 M Plus)?
So I have a question for the people who own this case, my friend has the non-silent edition, but there is a usb connector cable on the case, and his motherboard doesn't support it, can anyone tell me what it's called?
I'm personally using this case cooling is not good. My specs are i5-6500 and gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming. The temperatures for GPU goes upto 76 degree when side panel is closed and it goes down dramatically to 65-68 degree and for CPU it goes 55-60 under load and when side panel is opened it drops to 50 degree Celsius in winter where my room temperature is 20 degree Celsius. I've installed 2 fans in the front & 1 in the back but that doesn't help. What should I do? These temperature belongs when system is under load but when idle CPU 26 and GPU under 45.
It's the silent edition, not the regular one change the name
