The reason most coolers don't work is because the air is blown the wrong way on the laptop, somewhere on its bottom and not all of it trough it's air went and passing trough its radiator. So they would work and make a difference if they would be better designed!

I gotta buy this. I would buy this because it has the feet that can raise or lower the pad so it acts like a regular laptop stand and has that vent at the front to cool off your hands and it lights up so it would look so cool in the dark.

This kept my computer cool and from overheating. What I was so disappointed in was the life span of it. It lasted a little over a year and that was with me taking very good care of it and only running it while gaming,.
To anyone having temperature related issues, although a cooling pad will help, it is not a cure for excessively high temperatures. If you have the technical knowledge and skills required, invest in a good quality thermal compound (CPU & GPU) and thermal pads (VRAM & VRMs) and re paste. Improving the internal cooling efficiency of the laptop will also inevitably improve the inherent cooling benefits/results associated with using a good cooling pad such as this one :)

I have an Asus R.O.G laptop and it gets hot but has never shut down due to overheating.When using the intel extreme tuning utility and maxing the load it gets to temps at around a constant 95 degreees celcius.How much could this cooling pad help my laptop.It is thick and has a 15.6 in screen,thanks!
i heard it works better for a 15 inch, for a 17 inch i would go with a 19 inch pad, increases the likely hood the fan will hit where the cpu or gpu is , but these things only cool the exterior not sure about the interior where it matters for performance.  if your heat sinks and fan are clean there shouldnt be problem.  problem is getting to them to clean on laptops cause you have to dissasmble the laptop which is even more disturbing

No is not too big for netbook. Is fine. I also use my tablet on the cooling pad to keep it cool when calculating chess and stuff. Takes lot of cpu.
