the fan speed isnt adjustable as advertised
I bought this thing years ago and what I hated most about it were those tabs that slide on to keep your laptop from sliding off. Those tabs were a pain in the ass because they kept coming off when handling; I had to use paper shims to keep the tabs in place. Had I know I was going to have so much trouble with them, I would have never bought this cooler. Whoever designed it and those who approved the design of these tabs are idiots. Why not make them so that they are hinged instead hence fold down flush to the surface of the cooler? You don't need to be an engineer to figure that out. I'll never buy from Cooler Master again.
Be sure to clean the inside of the fan if you get this nowadays. I had one and there was a treasure trove of dust and dust bunnies, wasn't really out of my expectations though considering I got it free with a laptop older than this even.

Those knobs (to keep the laptop in place) look huge and there's a big chance they'll hurt my wrists (since I don't use external keyboard). Do they get in the way when you don't use external keyboard?

Even after heavy load for many hours,my cpu ans gpu reach maximum 75 Degrees celsius. All you gotta do is to regularily clean the laptop fan,thats it

Do you know how many degrees have cool down this cooling fan your laptop? I need one because my laptop is over 90°C while I'm playing :)
I closed that front grill with some tape, I bought the cooling pad to cool the laptop not me. Honestly quite disappointed with it's performance, a targus cooling pad I had before with 2 tiny fans cooled the laptop at least as well if not better. This pad is completely silent till you put the laptop on it, then the fan starts vibrating or something and gets quite annoying. I haven't tested the temperature after taping the front grill shut, perhaps it works better now. It blew way too much air out through the front grill at first.

I highly recommand this cooling fan. I'm using Lenovo Y50 which doesn't really get warmed up so much but this cooling fan does an awesome job!

after almost 5 years of using this device, finally a problem arose, there was a strange sound on the cooling fan which I don't know what caused it, I opened and cleaned it but I couldn't open the fan directly which led me to only cleaned the surrounding area, and it didn't change anything :p this thing is old anyway, time to get a new one lol

What's great about this one, unlike all the other ones, is that it does not have OBNOXIOUS LEDs! All those other ones on amazon, you cannot turn the blue/red LEDs off. Luckily this one is actually good, so if LEDs are a dealbreaker like they were for me, then this is the one to get.

inexpensive ? well in Europe it is 75 Euro not including the shipping :s The Thermaltake Massive 23 LX is lot cheaper though i was more convinced with the quality of the Cooler Master ;)
