This video is very insightful and thought-provoking. It shows how can we use technology in a sustainable way that would help to identify, monitor and assess human involvement in activities that harm the environment and the global dynamics of climate change and its ongoing threats to humanity. Also, I liked how Hammer is aware the importance of presenting your findings in a way that feed and inform environmental policy and practitioners to act, collaborate and tackle environmental threats in both local and international level.

I had to look into this for a broader presentation for Big Data in the charity, non-profit & Governmental organisations... quite interesting, and they were supposed to have another UN meet-up on the subject this coming October iirc. The problem is, with documentaries such as Cowspiracy, we know there's so much unnecessary deforestation is happening for animals to be fed grain that could be going to the starving and the homeless, and then to be killed. Activists are being run out, but with the amazon under threat - which I know that KFC are partially responsible for (if I remember the details of the letter they got from Greenpeace when I worked there), people need to be given the whole truth as to what's going on before it's too late
