I still have a Casio Sk-8 (1987) around, that my father bought when I was a kid. This is really similar to it. My 2 month old daughter is having a blast making noise with it, haha. For an adult, as you can tell from the video, this is not for you, I guess that the keys are also way narrower and smaller than actual piano keys, as it was with the SK-8, so keep that in mind.

I have a Casio SA-46, which is almost the same as the SA-76 you reviewed but with less keys. This kind of keyboard is marketed as a children's instrument, but I use it to give music theory and solfége classes. It is almost perfect for this, except for its lack of a metronome - small, very portable, different sounds, runs with batteries, has good volume for a class with up to 20 students... and is very cheap!

about the useless sounds: probably they just copied their smaple library they had for all midi sounds. there is a standard set of samples used in combination with midi (even though this keyboard doesn't do midi) those weird laser and helicopter sounds are in there bc back in the day the sample bank was designed with videogames in mind
