Jose, why can you not use a needle?
after refilling the printer still wont recognize the cartridge as full. do i need to reset the chip or something? if so how?
1:05 That stick - poky part - is it really a light tube? If one looks inside the cartridge slot when swapping cartridges, one can see a simple white plastic device with a slot for that pointy cartridge part. I thought, that device shakes this stick and stirrs the pigment inside the cartridge. That's why the stick is made out of soft plastic, so that it wouldn't break when vibrating. And the printer periodically does a noise different from that of pumping up the cartridges, which resembles vibrating.
I just filled my first PGI29 cart with your milled carts carts and Precision ink's ink and chips. PERFECT. Thanks.
Hi hope you are well and working on another great tutorial...Jose I have realised that my pro 1 is not printing dead in the centre...there is about two mm more in one side of the border than the other and today the print was completely not centred to the point of almost diagonal when I tried to print border-less any ldeas please?
José, this will be a question to a 1 year old video, sorry for that. By now, we know that with the yellow CLI-42 cart, we need to flush the OEM cart first and make sure we have a clean cart before we refill it with PC yellow ink, to prevent the yellow effect. How does it work in the case of the PGI-29 yellow carts?
So when you top off the ink when it's 2/3 full, do you replace the single use chip? Or will the chip not register you added more ink and you basically wait until the chip says it's empty?
So far it seems pretty straightforward by viewing these videos. There is one important detail that is not shown and I would like to see how it's done properly: How to get the ink into the syringe. Does the ink bottle need to be air tight? Thanks
thanks for your reply jo,
i have had for 4 months and was told it still had the oridinal inks the box is pristine .when i first switch it on it showed 5 ink was empty and the others was low.by the time i got the chips and canon carts10 weeks had passed i did re-chip these carts and got 2 prints out the ink level showed 6 empty making me belived these 6 the ink had gone into the case and not the bag.
this is when the b500-1700 alarm came on i contacted canon uk and they said that it would have to go to the service center and by the ser# it was older then he stated but not the actual age .i have solved the filling error a home made piece of plastic pipe which now allows ink past the ball and into the bag .i could print if only i could turn off the alarm ?? if its a large bill to pay to canon .ps thanks for listing .rod in uk
After looking at another review, it looks to me that the second plastic part inside the bag could be an agitation device your thaughts
Thank you Rodriguez I have found this and all of your videos so helpful. Thank you.
After purchasing a FULL set of OEM cartridges for my Pro-1, for $327 plus tax, I am ready to start refilling my old ones. If I get scared off in modifying my old ones by creating that rounded space behind where the one use chip goes, would you be willing to do it? Looks like I have almost two complete sets of cartridges. Some of the cartridges could be three to four years old. is there a danger in refilling them if the remaining ink in them has potentially dried up? They were stored in a fairly even temperature environment. That is my main question. I am going to try the Dremmel tool method. I see that Precision Color still sells the refill kits with single use chips. My printer is 3 -4 years old. Canon Professional services replaced my original one as it was easier to do that than service it. After all these years I am going to pay attention to the cleaning cycles and run a nozzle checks before that. this requires the printer to be left on, which is something I never did. Thanks for your videos and information. Even though I have been aware of these over the years I never paid full attention! Guilty as charged. Thanks!!!
A legend you are. According to a video you've done my printhead is DEAD! I'm debating to look for another Pro 1 because I still have lots of cartridges and lost of non OEM ink. What would your suggestion be? Buy a newer one and I can use the non OEM ink I've got for the Pro 1? Is it possible to suck the ink out of the Pro 1 cartridges and use in the replace upgrade? Thank you in advance.
I have lots of cartridges ... too many for me to use. Who wants them?
Always the best printer advice 👍
Do you have a link to the refill syringe tips you used here.
I looked on Octoink and couldn't find it the nearest i founds was this but I can't tell if this is a good match.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Jose I have 2 complete set of ink cards .... would you be interested in doing a modification for me and I would like to buy the syringe and Tips also...
I have a pro1 and i bought it with g&g ink refills. The quality of the prints are much less then my 9000 mark llIi know the pro 1 has pigmented ink and the 9000 ll has aniline dyes which have a brighter look till they fade.In you experience would original canon inks for the pro 1 give me better coloring, and to what degree? Thank you for your attention. Oooh but those original canon inks for the pro are very dear.
Hello Jose, Can I sell my used pro-1 OEM ink cartridges? I thought that I was going to try to refill them, but realize that it is not for me. I have kept and place them in a ziploc bag immediately, when changing ink. If so, I have not idea how to price them. Thank you.
Hi Jose, i have a question but, it might sound silly, i recently bought a canon pro1 the has ink cartridges in it which are half used, what would happen if i placed those inks into my running pro 1 which is running out of in?
Hey Jose it's Michael in California I don't know how to send you a message on YouTube is there any way that we could have a phone conversation I have for five questions for you that it's kind of hard going back and forth or on here I'm having a couple problems I just can't seem to resolve.
Hi Jose, does the pro1 also work with rolls of paper?
Morning Jose, I appreciate all you're doing with the PRO 1. Do you sell a set of 12 fully refilled cartridges? What off brand of cartridges do you recommend? "LD products" or "Speedy inks"? Thank you for your direction.
so I did get basically all that stuff I need to refill the cartridges. What I still can't find is the tip that you are using on the syringe. I found the website, but not the tips.
Can you please send me a link? Greetings D.

Hi Jose been following your videos and I finally pull the trigger on buying a canon pixma pro 100 is there a way you could make a video step by step on modifying the cartridges for precision color inks because the ones that I saw from them were not very clear thank you
Hi dear friend :)
My WF-4640DTWF arrived! I've configured that and it's wonderful :)
I've done a video showing you some things about the printer and some curiosities, I started uploading this now that actually is 16:35 (4:35pm) in your country 10:35am, when I'll back home this evening at 21:20 (9:20pm) i'll publish it and I'll give the link to you!
I forgot to say in the video that actually the 3rd party support is... present but the companies are still woking on it... there are some refillable cartridges with the autoreset chip, but some people said that they are simple refillable carts with single use chips, on other ARC refillables carts people says that the ARC chips actually works, maybe in just some weeks or 1-2 months we'll have full 3rd party support, we'll see :)
I still have my 4 liters (1l per color 0,26gal per color) of InkTec ink, and I'll use this to refill the refillables that i'll buy, these inks are specifically created to support the Epson specifics! After i'll finish these carts and I'll install the refillables I'll see if there's a way to "hack" the valve of the 79 carts and refill them like the PRO 3880 or the B-500DN ones, or there are simply a 2 way valve but I think it's a one way valve that has to be modified :)
Thank you for your videos, the first week of may I'll send you the long time promised $20 paypal to support you and this wonderful channel :3
Happy printing & bye bye ^-^
Jose, is “LUCIA Pro” ink (instead of regular LUCIA) bad for my Pro-10?
Jose, could you provide links to buy refilling tips, please?
Hello Sir. Watching your videos from West Africa. precisely from Republic of Guinea. I was sent a used Canon pro 1 from the USA. But when I checked inside, I couldn't find any cartridges inside. They have removed it there. So, my question is: *This of your pro 1 cartridges. Could they be refills after a single use. If no what will be the second option. * If yes it can be refills, I have a relative whom I'm willing to tell to buy it for me and ship to me through DHL. But how I my going to put you in contact.
Thank you, great video. Do you have a process for adding ink to PGI 29 cartridges?
I never seen a CO ink before now * - *
