make sure the by pass tray is fully seated back in its position, in case the paper tray wont go back in all the. i came here cause thats what was happening to me, super frustrating!

Thanks for your review. For the life of me, I cannot print envelopes. I changed paper type to No 10 envelope. It keeps telling me it jams - but really didn't jam. The quality is great though

Unwrapped it followed the directions and set it up for wireless printing. Quick and easy. Now for the bad part... My CD ro m would not read the software install. Called Canon and down loaded the software I needed as an agent helped me Real time. Installed everything and wham up and running. Easy to use! Bologna that the cost of toner goes down as I am sure it will.

FYI - When it tells you you're out of toner, I have gotten 1500 pages out of an "Empty" cartridge

I tried printing on t shirt transfer paper but my images come out messy. Some of the transfers are heavy paper but I am not finding where on the printer I can change the setting to accommodate the quality of the transfers

Just bought one specifically to make Stickers & Decals. I have & love my 3 Inkjets & 1 Rollo thermal printer. I customize products printing inkjet labels on full size 8.5x11 inch sticky back paper & then I spray a UV resistant glossy clear coat when done as inkjets look good, but also with inkjets, getting it wet with water ruins whatever you printed. Also the reason I use Canon & Epson is long ago they were the only ones who's printers used "Individual Ink Cartridge's" & not the typical 2 of 1-Black & 1-Color or 3 in one cartridges. Yellow always ran out 1st & even knowing the others were possibly half full of Cyan (blue) & Magenta (red), but you couldn't use it anymore & had to buy another color cartridge to keep printing. So that's why the like of Epson & Canon printers.One of inkjets is the CANON i850 from early 2000's? It's a Printer Only & itza Workhorse that keeps on ticking. Had to replace the Printhead 3x now, but so worth it.My other 2 are Epson's Stylus CX's line from 2004 that both use the same ink cartridges, but different models & both have scanners built in or All-In-One's (AIO).Inkjets have to be babied & maintained. A little patience has lasted so many years. I even purchased a 2nd NIB Canon i850 printer in case it ever broke, but it still works beautifully after all these years. The cartridges have no "Chips" in them & the black cartridge is double the size of the colors.

I have a hard time to print my labels and envelops with Canon MF642Cdw; do you have any video to help? I used to use HP printers and do not have any problems to print anything, especially with single labels. I can just print one and next time come back use the old label sheet to print another one by one until finished. With this Canon printer I messed up a lot of my Avery label sheets because it doesnt specify where to put the paper in, assumed just put in the same tray with all the printing papers but found out that the was a special slot to put just only 1 sheet in thereto print, but one more time didnt have any instructions that suppose to have paper up or down, therefore easy to make mistake to print out the wrong side. On the top of that I just need to print one label, next time to print back another one I cannot figure how to print it correct in the second row on third column for instance. I do not have problem with other printers, just with Canon. Please help.
