These are the most beautiful images I've ever seen. Full of character an emotion. WOW!
2:20 "Holga are clearly using some sort of soft glue to hold it together." It isn't held together with glue. The front piece, which is the focus ring and lens, snaps onto the back piece. Moving it back and forth creates friction, which warms and loosens the snugness. When it cools, it becomes snug again. A very basic design. I bought one of these lenses on Ebay for $1 to test and disassemble. No glue.
No kidding I love how it looks on fullframe. Now just tape warm gel on, set your white balance to compensate it and you are golden.

The picture take from a camera with this lens is not really bad. It's just like old vintage film camera color, very smooth and sweet :)
Those toy lenses while of bad quality they have their charm, fun to use or to just foo around though.

Does anyone know why this lens does not fit on my Sony A6000? I bought it thinking it was for a Sony camera. It says Sony right on the packaging but does not fit and it's very frustrating.
I think for that money, going for a lower quality look, you'd be better off buying some old korean m42 lens with an adapter!

To increase the aperture to suit a full frame sensor, I stuck a pencil in the main hole and pushed gently until it broke open into the smaller holes to make the main opening larger. There is still some trademark vignetting.
Its a shame I wanted a red one, but only a black one was available on amazon prime. Others slow boat from China

thank you this now works on my full frame nikonD600 without making half the photo black and with the fisheye attachment it looks like it is going to work better too I had such a hard time using it without the mod. even during the day
i think i will do this hack once i get the lens

People talk trash about this lens but when used right u can create a classic filmic feel . I had mine in a drawer for 2 years I just bought a adapter and can't wait to make a short film with it! Thanks for the inspiration!
