can someone please tell me what the little digital screen you can see through in the camera Is it called DSLR i am not so good with camera info and what does SLR mean ?TY to whoever answers this you are very smorrt.
Never use included camera strap. Peak design fixed that for me a long time ago. Before that Black Rapid and Op Tech straps. Even before that the hippiestraps. Never wanted to be a walking advertisement. But they look nice nowadays.

Never use the canon strap. Left in the box for resale when I get bored with the camera. I use a double R strap for 2 cameras from Black Rapid

I used the starp to hang my camera everytime people simply hand me their phone to take group photos using their phone. It is so annoying but the strap is very helping on that particular time...

Firstly, I am a fan of this video. It helps so much, since I want to upgrade from the Canon M50. Secondly, looking at the RP, how much better is the ISO performance in comparison to the M50 in low light? Lastly, I don't use their camera straps. Lol
Its not a kit lens it is THE BEST lens for all occasion, 24-105 and 35 is all i need
For mirrorless cameras, I prefer kit straps over the Peak Design strap that I bought when I still had my Nikon D600 - unless you're hanging something substantial from your neck, I much prefer a slimmer and less seatbelty strap. It's just much more everyday friendly and doesn't get in the way as much for me.That said I basically never use straps anymore. Maybe I'll get a wrist strap or make a leather one myself or something but they just get in the way more often than not when you want to pull your camera from your bag for a shot and not have it dangle 24/7.

So I've got an original 5d (mk1) and I'd like to upgrade to a body that can shoot video. I would also like a camera with good high ISO performance. I'm probably what you'd describe as an enthusiast but don't get a huge amount of time to use the camera any more, however when I do I'd still like the benefits of full frame with my collection of EF lenses. So what do people think the best value upgrade would be?
What a disappointing camera. I was expecting this camera to have image stabilisation. I don't think is asking to much, these days almost every camera got I.S. I don't want to mention the battery, so short. I'll probably buy the Sony a7ii , at least it does have the essential specs/features.
The battery life definitely turned me away from this camera. Still leaning towards the t8i

Wait's nobody told me Canon are making a whole new range of cameras, RP, with a whole new range of lenses, RF.Only just learned about it now.I have Canon EOS M3 :)
The shutter mech is the most sensitive thing on the camera, any dirt getting into it is bad news and can result in expensive (many hundreds of dollars) repairs, way more expensive than simply cleaning your sensor. I imagine this is why Canon opted to rightly eliminate that feature where the shutter is closed when off.
Just wish this Canon RP would have a firmware update where it gets unlimited recording time limit like the Sony A7C and Panasonic S5

Hello DP Review, nice video and review. I personally own this camera and really love it. If you use it as compact full frame studio camera, it's amazing. Initially I was a little concerned about battery life, but after a few weeks I've reached 445 shots with one charge. Yes, it's not that impressive for any standard DSLR, but for a mirror less camera probably is.
Would you say that this is better than the Fuji X-T3 simply because of the full frame sensor? Please do advise as I am thinking of picking up the RP. I do have an old Canon body with a few lenses but I am not too worried about that.

Just checking why it's the cheapest full frame body on the market. I remember hearing something about the video capabilities being severely lackin but this? Really sad to see my assumptions about Canon being confirmed, the entire company is ran by beancounters. There's protecting your higher product lines, and then there's making a product meant for absolutely nobody - why handicap the stills IQ on a full frame sensor? A regular consumer won't care about the sensor format and go for APS-C becuase of it's price, and a prosumer will scoff at the amount of noise this camera has, because he'll do his research before buying. Why even make a product like this, if all you're doing is damaging the company's reputation? On a side note, the very idea of making something that's by definition good at something (bigger pixel pitch = better signal to noise ratio) suck is so ridiculous to me... I've been warming up to canon, but I guess they don't want to see any of my money.

Great video! the RP is an awesome camera for its price. But screw you for saying negative things on the touch bar. You suck, they got rid of it on the R5 and the R6 because of videos like this one. You don't even use the Canon R as your main camera as I do. The touch bar elevated the handling on my camera and added a new layer of quickness and efficiency. So thanks for fu++ing us over. I bought the Canon EOS RP Mirrorless Camera & RF 24-105mm L Lens and I love it. I have the adapter because I have the 50 mm 1.8 and 70 mm - 200 mm f/4 L lens. This is one amazing camera.
On the edge of jumping to get this kit to upgrade from my 200D, I've got a 5D classic to try out full frame & I love the look so now I want to get a modern full frame
I just brought back my a7r3 and am getting this camera and lens combo with the 35 1.8 macro for the same price as the a7r3 body alone lol
I now have hadthe RP set since early April, and love it

great combo and cool pics :-) I use the rp with the grip and got peak design strap. I use it with Tamron 24-70 F2.8 VC mostly and I love that combo. See some pics at @bedevere007 - Review Dave & fantastic photos. I love the over the shoulder technique, which I haven't seen before ( you'd should copyright it ) and will be trying out later.

I have always liked Canon cameras, in my opinion they make cameras that are for specific skills, like this one is mainly for photographers not people who will shoot video, for me that means you will better hone your photography skills. I do agree that Canon has some of the best glass out there, I also think that their cameras have better sharpness & clarity as well. As for color reproduction I do like Panasonic a bit better. Still this camera is a great buy & for the average user I am betting that the video, even in 4K will be fantastic as well.
Great review Dave thanks. The photos look stunning especially when you consider they're jpegs straight out of the camera. You're right about the video shortcomings, I think Canon are targeting stills photographers who just want to dabble occasionally with shooting video. I've had many cameras over the years and I can count the number of times I've actually shot video on both hands, I just have no interest in it. I've had my 7D Mk2 for a few years now and have never used the video facility.Whilst this looks like a great camera, I shoot mainly wildlife and so for me full frame is a negative point :) I get better served by a crop sensor to give the 'extra reach' that you achieve.As a matter of interest, is it seagulls I can hear in the background?
