You should change the title of this from "Canon 6D Mark II Review" to "Guy Complains About Canon for 12 Mins".
5D Mark IV Is a better choice if you want a decent FF camera. I heard that higher ISO adds noise fast. The APS-C 90D is better in this situation, 800 or 1600 ISO works better. Notice that 90D almost cost the same price, but you might be happier with the 90D. Or buy a Nikon D850 or Z6 (mirrorless) f you really have money for FF.
Dsrl or apsc is dead end...ff mirrorless is future. More common...year 2020 plus. Ff 4k no crop dsrl would be pointless. Mfg.s' should get in gear in future more ef lenses and ff cameras even maybe 4k dsrl and more ef lenses and maybe more apsc lenses that output same focal length 35mm images similar equivalents. I hate crop factor but ff no crop is expensive. I miss cheap $10 Kodak film 35mm. I feel cheated and ripped off with ff and crop cameras. We all want budget...with full 35mm pictures...cameras which are ff no crop and not crop cameras. Most cameras now all suck...most are apsc dont buy. Best deal are m50 r rp r6 but they are crippled in some ways...others are poor specs cameras. New sony a7s iii m2ii/m7 canon m50 mark ii a7iv are not going to be great. R5 or a7siii same price not worth it. Ff is expensive for you get...apsc or four thirds feel companies cheated....noone wants to do math taking pictures and video to get correct apsc lenses equivalents. Plus there's no 200 f0.9 lense or such that exist. It's a headache on top of worry about exposure edit color grade composition lighting audio angles focus is shutter fstop focal distance and length memory battery life.
I upgraded from a canon 70D to the 6DMK2 and I also have a canon EOS R and I love both cameras. I enjoy the 6DMK2 because of its ease of use and the image quality is actually superb when you use in good natural lighting conditions and becomes even better with on camera and off camera flash. Lowlight shooting is good up to 12,800 iso. I see no major difference with the EOS R image quality with sufficient natural lighting. I don't worry to much about DR because I make I nail exposure for the most part. Know your gear and it will work wonders for you. I'm not a video guy.
I don't think you are wrong, but I'm purchasing a 6D2 now for $1000 because I like my 6D1 and I want a second body, the autofocus made me not want to buy a second 6D1. (I do videos extremely rarely) I will pair it with a Tamron G2 24-70 because in photography, tabilisation has some advantages. also 26mp is not crazy too much, and will enable me for more cropping. I currently shoot with a 6D1 and a sigme 85mm 1.4. What i miss is stabilisation and a tad sharper shots (26mp will be good for me). Also having 2 bodies with 2 optics is key in the way I like to work. I learn each day and steps.
@kinotika, name of the songs so chill for studying
you sound like a hater lmao im getting it !!
Good photographers do wonders with the 6DII, it's an awesome camera, I work with 1DX, 5DIV and 6DII, I expected having issues with the focus points on the 6DII but I just don't see it, it's a great camera.
Im returning mine, im not even a pro and i could tell it sucked... dude I have been using a Nikon D5100 for 11 years, and there was no diff between the two.... i bought it for $2700 off canons site with body and lens..... fk the 6D mk ii, its going back tomorrow. I only bought it for low light photography, and it sucked, there was barely any diff between my 11 year old $550 Nikon and this POS. I have been taking pictures in my garage for years, I dont need it for video or outdoors, gdmn POS wasted my time.
Am a newbie , can someone explain to me why Nikon dslr’s isn’t a popular purchase between designers and youtubers ?
Lol dang bro just get a fujifilm xt4 if you care more about video.
I was in the market for this camera. Your review has given me MUCH to consider.
On min 4:00 do you really but 10-18 lens on 6d full frame how is this possible 🤔
I have a EOS 1 D MK 4 is it worth trading in for a EOS 6D Mk 2
your images are just under exposed lol... its not the camera
Nice informative vid but comparing a n aps-c to a full frame is something I'll never get. So I say nah, 80D will never be better than 6d, unless believe you will always have a nice sunny weather when sensor size isn't crucial.
Stupid man.🤥
Better review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RaDXsi2gXY Ps it's not my channel or anyone I know. It's just more photography orientated. 6D MkII vs 5D MIV
Vloggers care about video so they bash the 6D MkII. But as a camera it is great. This review is crap..focusing only on video. Not only are you not reviewing the 6D MkII, you're mentioning other cameras. Crap crap CRAP!
user of a 6D mark2 speaking. understand the criticism but again its a very nice peace of metal for a person who is slightly enthusiastic compared to a what so called amateur! i would say its not a pro camera but it does a decent job for a "more then an amateur less then a pro"guy like me
Manish plz answer Apko konsa camera jyada pasand he canon ya nikon

Hi Maneesh I want to buy this camera can you please suggest me the best place to buy this camera where I can get it for the best price... one of my friend is giving me this camera which he bought in 2017 with kit lens, he is giving it to me for 1lac.Since you are into photography I look forward for your assistance. Thanks! With regards!
Sir Nikon z6 kaa photoshoot kijiye naa
ok i have hit the subscribe button and i really liked the video sir.. thank you. and i love this camera too
Autofocus is an assist you as a pro photographer should know how to manually focus and never depend on auto features to be to sell a shot to a client. The full-frame 1D 4 megapixel had one center autofocusing point. The 6d ii is a great camera it is the big brother to the 80d and when the original 5d came out many movies we're shot on it and the 6d is superior to that in all ways.
Is it good for documentary shooting or short film shooting?
Been looking at one of these for a while now, what would you recommend, I'm mainly in to macro, with landscape 2nd and astrophotography a close 3rd in subject interests, maybe a bit of wildlife and birds etc. The 6d2 looks like a really good camera and full frame which I think would be great for low light. I don't like zooms, would only be sticking to primes, getting the 100mmL macro, what other primes would you reccomend for these particular photographic subjects (landscape, birding and astro, preferably with internal focusing and no front element extension?)
What would be your recommendation for Maximum usable ISO in landscape photography? With usable I meant the quality of the picture is not compromised by the noise
Ist a great camera - absolutely underrated
Great video, I'm looking at starting Landscape photography, I'm on a tight budget, what camera and lense would you suggest with a budget of say £600 second hand, thanks Steve.
1st video of yours I've watched, told me just what I needed to know thank you, defiantly the 5d for me next, I'm loving my 7d Mk11 so locked into some 'C' type lenses but that's OK. Main reason being I'm out and about in all weathers & conditions so the stronger 5's body should take the knocks a bit more Thanks again RDS
Hi, thanks for your videos, I've subscribed to your channel. Very useful this video because I'm near to make the step from APSC to FF. Now I'm owner of a EOS 70D great camera but I need more for landscape photography, so I believe the 6D mk2 with the EF 24-70mm f4 L will be a good approach, no too expensive. I've read about the non so good dynamic range at low Iso, but always a step further form the 70D. Another dream are pro filter like PolarPro Summit 😁.
I really enjoyed video and what you say about camera. Would you recommend this camera to me if i wanted it for Astrophotography like milky way shots constellations and stars plus the moon near Venus in evening sky. I've got the Canon 700d and it's been great for astrophotography and now I want upgrade to full frame. If not.what would you suggest I'd get?
IT IS NOT PLASTIC, CHECK IT!!
Good review though plus and minus on every equipment. I own this camera and frankly speaking I am enjoying it a lot. But my enjoyment level is limited up to my knowledge as I am new to full frame. Thanks a lot :-)
Video is crappy on this camera.
Canon will be thankful to you for this review... only good for photography...
The 6D is an universal tool. Nothing perfect but most things are done satisfactory. Try to find a good sharp super wide angle for a 80D. Nope it’s not the 10-18mm, compared to results on a full frame with a 17-40 f4L the crop lens is pretty blurry. A zoom with 24mm equivalent? There is only the 15-85mm. There are no pro lenses for Canon crop bodies like let’s say on Olympus/Panasonic mFT system. So if you are in the Canon world you have to take either a RP or the 6D Mark II if you are on a budget. But the RP is nothing for fast shooting needs and is not that universal like the 6D Mark II.
What lens are you using for that last shot?
Hi, I currently have a Cannon 700d and am looking to upgrade to a full sensor Cannon. Don't have the budget for a 5D mk4 and am looking for a camera to do mostly landscapes with. Is the 6D M2 a good option?
@5:50 A good little trick to prevent flicker in timelapses caused by stopping down the aperture is to first select what aperture you want, then whilst holding down the DoF preview button, unlock the lens and rotate it ever so slightly so that it's no longer detected by the camera. This will lock the aperture blades in place for the duration of the timelapse.
Why wouldn't use this as a video camera? It has dual pixel AF, , touch screen, tity screen, [email protected] while 5d mk IV does not have tilty screen, it does not have [email protected] Granted, it has 4k but how many people actually record videosa in 4k? How many people do actually monitors or tv that are 4k? Most people don't even have computers powerful enopugh to handle 4k video.... About the af points being in the center of all, I pick only the center focus point and never switch to other ones. If you like to shoot sports you're better off with 7D. For weddings I always use central focus point andf recompose. Or you can use live view, dual pixel AF is so amazing for even photography.
Hi! You know if I connect my 6DII to an external monitor, I can see my image in both screens? The external and the 6D II for tracking or I still use the touch focus at the same time?
Pop up flash...are you joking.
No pop up flash??? Dang!!! 🤔 I suppose I could use my huge speedlite. My 6D Mark ii comes tomorrow, upgrading from a T5i
If you have a Canon 20D, with all EF lenses and you wanted to upgrade what would you do? I'm at the cross roads, switch companies to Nikon, Sony or Fugi. What would suggest?
I almost bought one, except for the single card slot.
It's nice when u compare images, but why compare 6d m2 with a 5d mark 3? I mean it's completely different price classes!....
Im not mad, just disappointed. I want to love Canon. I want to stay with their dslrs but they keep shitting on us
pak bagai mana foto pakai view vinder jadi tajam di canon 6D Mark2
Little later the Sony a7 III destroyed any chance of Canon 6D II.
The 6DMKii is light years ahead of what I used for nearly 15 years. I chuckle when they say it is a entry level camera for those who is stepping up to full frame, I'm coming from a full frame 5d mkI. DIGIC II processor and a 35.8 x 23.9 mm full-frame CMOS sensor with 13.3 million pixels (12.7 megapixel effective) and a pixel density of 1.5 megapixels per square centimetre. ISO speeds from 100 to 1600 are provided, adjustable in 1/3 steps (ISO can be expanded to L: 50 or H: 3200 with a menu function). The ISO 50 setting reduces dynamic range by a stop in the highlights.
With this camera at 1400 we pretty much get nothing... not worth buying at all
I have watched 6 reviews today and you guys by far are top notch I’m subscribing to your channel period
Hi guys I have a 5d mark ii and I'm looking to get the 6d markii is low the light capability worth the up grade?
Hi sir. Is canon 6D mark ii no firmware update ? No one talk about it . I just bought it so I really curious . 90D just came out and it already updated firmware. Why ?
don't most photographers use the focus and recompose method for still photography???? I think they do! So why do so many people complain about the focus point coverage? Seems to me that would only be a concern for action photos where you are using tracking. Even with tripod photos, you can easily just use manual focus to overcome this.
i have the old 6D, i use it for 5 years and now the camera seems broke (like the rubber peal off and the dial mode plate ripped off) still can use it properly but i want to upgrade. 5D mark4 is a game changer but the price is insane, should i go to the 6dmark ii? please give me advise :)
Hello professor . I have some questions . Should I buy 6d mark 2 or 90d ? I need a camera can performance in low light . The reason I don't like 6d mark ii is all focus points clumed in the middle . 90d is crop sensor but it has 8 digic . They are the same price . Please help.
Why such high shutter speed?
Wow - I hope people aren't putting too much stock in this review - not to be too critical, but this is a bit misleading. I'm very familiar with the 6DmkII, along with some other Canon bodies and also some Nikon bodies like the D750. There's no question all bodies have some pluses and minuses. But ... no pop-up flash? Are you kidding me? It's like you're trying hard to find things to not like. As for the dynamic range, this is only truly apparent when recovering detail from deep shadow. So if you chronically under expose and plan on being saved by Lightroom then yes, you will be let down by the lower DR on the 6DmkII. That said, if you expose correctly and even better, expose a stop or so to the right you'll very easily overcome this. Add that fact to the excellent low light performance and suddenly there's a lot to like. Note also that the price of this body has come down quite a bit from its first year or so and now you really do have something to pay attention to. Also, it's the only full frame with the fully articulating screen, so if that's something useful to you then this choice is better still. If you haven't had the pleasure of using the articulating screen, you ought to try it. Amazing when you're shooting a very low or high angle and also great on a tripod. Put the screen where you can comfortably see it, switch into live view and enjoy dual pixel touch screen focus precision. This camera gets a bad rap for a few shortcomings it has, but that just creates opportunity for buyers who are able to adapt their shooting style to take advantage of the great things about this camera.
Hello! Which one do you think it would be better, the 6d mark ii or the new 90d? Thank you!
wow i thought it would be better. thanks
