If you had put this camera in the hands of any pro photog 25 or 30 years ago they would have considered it totally amazing, better than anything hey had ever used and some fantastic images were produced back then. If you can't get a good image with this body, it's not the camera's fault, regardless of subject matter or situation, it's all on you.
Recently bought a canon 6d mk2 and couldn't be happier with it! Upgraded from a 2000d and was blown away by the image quality, AF speed, frames rate of 6.5/sec, high iso performance, fully articulating touch screen etc. the limitations that you mentioned are there but usually they won't be a bother to me. Was hesitating between this and the RP and would have actually preferred the RP to get a hold of RF glass, but in my country the RP is actually more expensive!
I earn my living from press photography. I have had one of these for about 18 months and I have just chopped in my 5D MK3 for another one. I love this camera. Two of these and a 6D MK1 as a back up. Plus, my Fuji x100T, of course.

Between this an Eos Rp. Mostly just $1000 is little out of my range especially since they don't come with EF adapter anymore, n grip separate too.
I saved a lot and I mean A LOT of money. I first bought the 6D Mark II mainly for portraits. Later I purchased the Canon RP as the every day camera.
How do you think this would compare to the Nikon D780? Looking to upgrade to my first full frame and I’m stuck between the 6D mark ii and the D780 I know the D780 has 1/8000 vs 1/4000 but am I really going to tap into that extra 1/4000?!
Would you recommend this for everyday picture use?
I'm sorry but this felt more like a advertisement for anything else other than the 6D Mark ii. Maybe focus more on the good points. And when mentioning the bad points, don't overblow it saying "So not having it" or "Just crappy". Still will give an upvote though.

Auto-focus? It is small price to pay it is all relative. Not everything is cheap as assertion seems to want to believe I buy canon because I have their lens . I’m happy
I changed from Nikon to the 6D MK2 and I'm so frustrated with it, maybe I've bought a bit of a lemon but to me it's slow and clunky not so hot in low light and photo's just seem to lack the oomph course it could be just me! Everyone else seems to love it Oh and got the 24-105 MK2 lens with it.

just watched this after ordering the 6d mii. i’m a bit nervous now but sure for my first ~pro camera it’s gonna be fine honestly the reason i went for this one is full frame sensor, foldable screen i need for skateboarding and 1080 60p. was thinking about buying nikon d750 but assumed that 2017 camera has much better upgraded technologies

I really really dont get this kind of reviews. How the hell can you bash a PHOTOcamera for its video capabilities? Its like you bash a coffee machine that its not making a good cup of tea. Video on a dslr is just a plus. Like a gift. How can you bash somethin you get as a gift? For videos there are VIDEOcameras. Simple as that. The only problem i see here is that you bought the wrong product for your needs. Its like i bought a bike, and im saying: dont buy this car, its a very very bad car. ‍♂️. The 6d mark ii is an amazingly good PHOTOcamera!

i want a camera with a faster auto focus and great in low light and i'm happy. i take wonderful pictures but i have to ask you this question do you use auto focus or manual mode when you're taking your pictures? and since it's a full frame camera which lens do you use for your camera i like what i see i wanted the canon 6d but somebody said the mark 2 is the better one
