I am upgrading from the 5d3. I’m hoping for better high ISO results than the 5d3. I hesitated to shoot over 4000 at the hockey rink which didn’t leave me with a very quick shutter speed. That was generally at F4 with my 70-200 F2.8 L or 100-400. Will the 5d4 allow me to shoot at maybe 6000 or higher so I can get my shutter speed up for hockey action shots/

Nice video you've put together. I am waiting for my new 5D Mark IV to be shipped to me. Have had the 5D Mark II for about 8 years, which I use with the EF 24-70mm F/4.0L IS USM. Just something to bear in mind, if Canon had built an articulated rear screen into the camera, I doubt that the weather sealing would have been rated to the same high standard. I personally am not too fussed that it does not have this. You can always use your smartphone or a small tablet to cast the screen to such devices. Agreed about the 4K. Probably sensible to transcode the resulting MotionJPEG files to h.264. I'm going to add the C-log upgrade on mine for post grading 4K footage. One last thing, I know this means extra expendature but investing in a Canon EF 16-35mm F/4.0L IS USM (or a similar Canon EF mount lens from another brand) would give you around a 26mm field of view for 4K filming. When comes to price / performance,no brand can beat TAMRON.I have Sony A7 iii with 28 - 75 MM Tamron.Honestly for me Bokeh and sharpness are not enough for portrait with for street photography and travel,Tamron works very well.

I"m late I know but my 16-35 mm f2.8 is no longer giving me sharp images so I need a new wide angle lens. I really liked this lense because I had the 16, 24 and 35mm at my disposal. I was sure I wanted to get a prime 35mm f2 but I just found about this lens. I think it has a great assortment of focal lengths (and it has a macro feature!?) so now I"m not so sure about the 35mmg f2. I'm pretty sure I won't be using this lens (if I got it) in low light situations and If I do it'll be for group shots a wedding receptions or wide angle shots of a room on a tripod (for dark areas). In your opinion, is the Canon 35mm f2 a better lens or does this lens have more to offer?

Lol, £550 for an L lens isn’t expensive. The 2.8 II version costs almost £2k, which doesn’t have a macro zoom or IS.

Just bought this lens for my Canon 6D mkii, i got the lens for €375!
My only regret so far with this lens is that I didn't buy it before my last holiday. It's that good compared to all the old second hand gear I've been using. It also works remarkably well with an original EOS650. It is *big* however. Bigger than the 28-80mm USM it replaces, or the 50mm F1.4 that normally lives in my bag. Balances well on the old beast, mind. Tested it on a 100D for sheds and giggles and it was out-resolving the sensor It could read the text on a license plate from 100 metres away in 50mm, which the kit lens with the 100D just rendered as a white.

Hi Christopher. I bought tamron 24-70 f2.8 . But I gave back. Because of some af issue. And I decided to buy a canon lens. And my budget is not enough for canon 24-70 f2.8. I m thinking about these two lens, 24-70 f4 and 24-105 version 2. The most important thing is sharpness at f4 for me. I watched your 24-105 review and it was really bad about sharpness. even version 2. So what can you say to me about these?I will use it for wedding photography and also "image stabilization" is important for me. Thanks.
