Thank you for sharing. I have a Canon iP7240 printer. I tried to refill the inkjets yesterday, and because the inkjet is black, I cannot see how much ink I have to put in. So, the lights are still flickering and it still shows that there is no ink in. What do I do wrong ... or how much ink is more or less needed to fill?
My printer have 2 black cartridges and one more is bigger which is pgbk..what is the different between bk and pgbk ink ? And can i use the same black ink for both of that cartridges ??
Hi and thanks for the tutorial. Do you think, is it possible to re-fill the Canon PIXMA PRO IP 100s? Thanks in advance. The only issue is this, when the ink runs low, the printer starts to messing about and keep warning you that the ink is low and stops printing (at least, this is my experience.)
Videos from other providers suggest drilling out the ball seat with a 5/32 inch drill bit. Am I right in thinking that the plugs you supply make this unnecessary?

I've done a lot of cartridge refills over the years having to buy a new chip resetter for each new printer, but now I just buy refillable cartridges with auto reset chips.
That's great but if you check my video i use a regular screw to plug that hole.
will this work for my canon mg5470..it has cli 751 cartridges

When pulling out the ball. I found that a thick pin pushed into the ball deep enough will let you pop it out. Best way to do this without pushing too hard into the ball is to heat up the pin beforehand so that it just melts into the center of the ball. If this makes sense?
got a canon mg6460, refilling it is the easy part but i cant figure out how to reset the ink levels, it wont let me print still says its low on ink
First of all - thank you so very much for this instruction. However, a quick question - I've just bought Canon Pixma MG-5750 and would love to know if I will be able to use that method for re-filling cartridges. The original set of cartridges is waaay too expensive to even consider it and the third-parties' products are sparse in Poland. So, I was thinking - refill would be optimum for me. Can I or can I not use this method? Cheers!
Why not just buy a new cartridge? Do you cut open your toothpaste tube to scrape out the dregs?

... disable the ink gauge (hold the red STOP/triangle button for 5s when ink out error appears). There is no way for the (re)manufacturer to reset the ink gauge on the cartridges. These compatible cartridges must have had at least 50% of ink still in it after the test!
What is the "compatible cartridge"!? I am sure I am not the only one who watched your video and wondering, of course it's a wasted of time without knowing the compatible brand you used for this video...

Expensive to run this printer. Get an Megatank or HP Instant ink. 7.5 p per page or less with the instant ink program.
Its bulls**t i have used non genuing inks for 4 month and i have had no problem cheaper than genuing at nearly £60
I am using compatible cartridges and I do not have any problems with them and they are 80% cheaper then originals.
You can get decent compatible cartridges for 0,25€ each, it means 1€ for a complete set if your printer have slots for 4 color cardridges, and it means 0,04€ per page with compatible cartridges.
Lol at someone paying £1.15/page for compatible ink. It's like £2 for a set of four Epson cartridges. It's more like >1p/page, including the paper
it just go`s to show how outrageously expensive ink is all over, 22 shots? wtf & how much do those individual prints cost divided by the cost of the ink? too much thats what..
@Redhill186 Thanks for your comment. The video isn't meant to provide conclusive learnings. We have bought the compatible cartridges from known and popular online store (in a similar manner to many other customers who would buy from them) and simply tested one against the other. I do agree that compatibles vary in their quality, but how would a regular home user or small business owner suppose to know that. Original it seems offer more consistency, but again compatibles should not be ruled out
Interesting but very inconclusive . . . whose compatible cartridges are you using? There are enormous differences between the many compatibles available. We could not afford to run our department without compatibles. The ones we use have a much greater capacity than the originals
