Excellent video, Eric. I just bought one of these used from Amazon UK for £100. I do mostly macro and use a 430EX II, which is a bit heavy and cumbersome for macro. The 270 should be a lot better. Just as a matter of interest do you agree that the quality of light from a $600 flash is the same light as from a $150 flash? The only difference, I think, is on the $600 unit you get more features, which is great if you need them, but otherwise it's a bit of overkill. Subscribed.

Thanks for the video. I have been looking for a small flash for my M50. I was going to purchase the 270 EX II after watching but when I went to the Canon website, I ended up getting the EL-100 instead. I think its feature set better fit my needs ( i.e. - wireless capabilities) and it was $40 less expensive. Either way, this video got me to make the decision.
Hey Eric, thanks for the video. I own a 270EX II which I use for my Canon M50, but it is not powerful enough for most my gigs. Also, it only rotates up, which means that I can't bounce the flash any other direction. I have been researching for a good flash to replace it without paying the sum for an original Canon flash. Do you have any recommendation for my Canon M50?
I didn’t realize this flash could be used with a “bounce” feature, which makes me very interested in it. Another feature would be using it to trigger an off-camera flash

thanks EricI shoot Nikon so bought a used sb22 for $30it's about the same size as the 270 and it also tilts up for bounce flashyou're rightthey come in handy and if you attach an inexpensive cord to get it off the camera, these little flashes can give you a whole different look !
