Probably the most useless video I’ve seen. Did he show the two flashes working together? No. Did he need to set up multiple groups rather than just setting up two flashes and showing them working? Nope. Total waste of time? Yes.

As far as the red lights which are used for focus/flash assist, I *think* the camera's focus point has to be set to the center spot; if not, the assist lights do not come on for the flash.

SB-900 is a piece of shit I bought it 2 years ago use it once on the day I bought it and it was great- last weekend needed to use it for a wedding and I was a mean photographer for the wedding flash keep going over HEATED!!! and there is no way I can fix it - now I can't even return cause I bought it 2 or 3 years ago!!!! what can I do???

Hi Guys! Can someone help to find a problem with my old Nikon D700. The camera is working fine without using flash. Also its ok with any code flashes without synch adapters on to the hot shoe. But when I use any flashes such as D900 or D800; the camera is not firing instantly and it takes a few seconds to fire. I tried all the setting but no use. Please advise me if this is due to wrong settings or any technical problems in the camera?

Good Video gained a few tidbits that I didn't know about the SB900.
I was considering a di866 , as my first flash, is it worth it? the guide number certainly recomends it, Since it's the high end flash of nissin, i think it's the equivalent of a nikons mid range sb 700, am i right? I was thinking using the di866 II for parties in pubs, clubs etc but general use also. What do you recommend? The only thing that worries me is the 866's plastic attach wheel thing
Also, one more thing. Was using an old bayonet mount lens on d90 with pop up flash in commander mode. No problem. The next day turned camera on with same older lens and pop up flash lifted, and nothing. Shutter will not go when pop-up is on. With pop-up down shutter WILL work. Changed over to new lens and shutter works with and without pop up on. Have remounted the old lens several times to check, batry is charged. Just cleaned all of the contacts. Any thoughts on what is wrong. Grt vids thnk u

very nice series about Nikon speedlight :) As I understand from your videos that you have a good experience with both systems Canon and Nikon.I know the both are the best and the final choice is always a subjective one, but for new users they need to understand more each system to start their investment. Could you please make an objective series about Canon system vs Nikon system? Maybe with one video considering the current camera models and the recommended lenses for beginners in each system.
Hi, I have never used a flash before, do you think the 910 would be suitable for photographing badgers in the garden with my D500, I will have the garden lite dimly with the house garden outdoor light. Assuming the badgers turn up 😀

I have two SB-900 flashes and they have a flaw of overheating under heavy use. It happened to me when shooting a fashion show. The SB-910 is the upgrade but I just don’t want to pay for them.
I have SB700 and SB910, bought them with my D7x00 cameras. Now I have Z6 and they are excellent mounted on the camera. But you cannot put one of them on the camera and have the other as a remote. The only flash that works on Z6, to control the SB700 and SB910, is the SB500. The best AA batteries are Ikea LADDA, they are the cheapest and they are the best!
The colour gels are the a nikon product!
These are like 600 dollars a piece. I'm sure they're great flashes, but suggesting that these are good value doesn't make much sense to me. I think good value and I think godox, cactus, and youngnuo given their cost, durability, and feature set. I must be missing your point because you surely know about these other brands. Now if the question which flashes are the best, I'd have no objection.

My Nikon d750 doesn't pick up light in slave mode with neweer 750ii. the picture is dark. What's wrong with that?
My Flash does have FP next to TTL or does it say ISO 800 it say +1.7 EV what does that mean? How can I change that?

I don't do a huge amount of photography, but I've been a closet shutterbug since the late eighties. The last camera (and first digital) I purchased was a Nikon D50 with a couple of basic lenses and an SB800 flash. Okay so maybe too much flash for the camera. But now I think it's time to upgrade. I'm looking at a $900 - $1200 limited budget. Any suggestions? (I'll probably stay with Nikon) Oh one more thing. Is the SB800 still a good flash? Or do I need to plan on upgrading that too? Thanks man!
