Can you put an 800mm 5.6 AI-S on a tripod, put a suspended A7R II (that’s less than 2 lb), techart adapter and m to f adapter to the lens, to get AF?
Matt, I have found a small amount of hunting on a Sony Ar7ii but on a Sony a6400 there is no hunting and the techart is quick to autofocus

i must have gotten a bad adapter since it never worked, got the last version of it, the V6 and I never got support from tech art nor the ebay retailer so i had to return it......

This is so weird - I was just watching Kai review a manual focus lens (like 10 minutes ago) and wondered whether an adapter could be made to turn manual lenses into autofocus, essentially *exactly* what you're reviewing here.
I have techart pro adapter since it came out, it's very good adapter when is good light and fast lens. What you have is a clone of techart,... Probably you should get it and compare it 👍
jeeze, if you want autofocus, get a autofocus lens.
This Is a clone of a techart adapter that works really well. Of course isn't as fast as a GM lens, but actually is like using motor AF with Nikon D lenses.
The Sigma 50mm 1.4 is a very advanced normal objective.

I’m seeing some possible colored vignetting in some of those shots as well. Is that the case? Obviously regular vignetting, but it looks like that color fringing.
That’s why I just returned my Leica 50APO SL and bought the Panasonic 50mm 1.4 S saved 3k I’m betting my average client won’t be able to tell the difference.

I have that lens (native mount) for my Sony A7RIV and A9II. Superb lens. I like the combination better than my 50mm f1.4 Summilux & Leica Type 240.
