Do you have a close up of the print quality? The brother printers I've had tend to have banding, something I'd like to avoid.

The highest resolution is the setting named "1200 dpi". If you have letterhead or one sided glossy paper, note that pages inserted into the front slot get printed on the top side first. Pages taken from the tray are printed on the bottom side first. The oval slot in the front of the paper tray lets you see how much paper is left. The connection method is either Ethernet or USB. I have never tried USB, but Ethernet works fine. I set the printer to a fixed IP address since I thought that might make it easier for all the different computers in my home to use it. I can print from Windows, Linux, MacOS, and even from my ancient iPod Touch. Brother sold an upgraded version with wireless networking, but most people won't need it. Just connect the printer to your wireless router with an Ethernet cable. I have had mine for several years, and I like it a lot. It has never jammed. Text, graphics, and images all look great. Double sided printing is a wonderful thing. The printing is fast. The original cartridge lasted through many reams of paper, and the replacement cartridge is much higher capacity. I have printed on labels by feeding them one at a time through the front slot. This model is really made for business. It is somewhat bigger and louder than a typical home printer, but it really gets the job done. Of course it has no scanner, and the output is only black and white.
