Just a heads up on anyone considering getting the bose; it starts having hardware issues often times around the 1-2 year mark once it’s out of warranty. IMO it’s planned obsolescence on boses part since they know about the issue yet refuse to fix it. Bose will never be getting my business ever again. I find these comfortable but the quality of the sound seriously degrades as the ANC is increased and worst, when it's not on, the sound is completely flat making the 35ll not worth the asking price. The volume must be increased to get the full range. Not so with my JABRA Move which is far better no matter what the sound source is and the sound quality is among the best around. They only time I enjoyed the BOSE 35ii is when watching a movie on the SONY TV but. If I keep them, it will be the only time I would use them.

QC-35's have excessive bass response, and are thus not suitable for professional use, i.e. they are a poor reference. As for consumers, if you're interested in having an emphasis on low end and need that little extra bit of isolation provided by active noise cancellation, then the QC-35 would be a viable choice. Personally, when the last of my QC-25's quit working (and they invariable do, especially if dropped), I'll be looking for something other than the QC-35, or another brand perhaps. IMHO, that the QC-35 response was deliberately designed for an inaccurate response is a shame, because it would have been easy to include minimal tone control switching, given that active circuits are involved in relation to the noise cancelling scheme. Maybe they will include a user controlled equalization scheme in future models? Who knows?

I have tried the Airpods Max, Sony XM4, Bose NC 700 and the Bose QC 35 II. Still to this day, the Bose QC 35 II are still my favourite over ear phones of all time.
I m just returning mine now .... there exactly what they say they are = quiet & comfortable ... there s no loudness in these .... great for sleeping :))))
I have these Bose Headphones & TaoTronic $50ish headphones and honestly I don't notice any difference in them especially with the ANC. Bose is just a luxurious brand in my eyes that has fallen. Provides nothing more than some regular noise canceling headphones.

My wife just received these for Christmas thinking that it would noticeably cut out the sound around her without listening to music. I put them on noticed a slight volume drop of the outside sound but can still hear everything around me. Is this the way these are supposed work?

Based on other reviews the battery life on the QC 35 v2 is about 20 hours where as the Sony XM3 and now XM4 are both 30 plus. I find the the 30 hour battery to be far more attractive because after a year or two of use the battery life will be decreased and so by then cutting the battery life by say 25%, the Sony's will still have over 22 hours and the Bose down to 15 hours. With that said, I have had the Sony XM3's for two years and they hurt my ears after several hours of use. I have a pair of Bose wired QC15's I can wear indefinitely without discomfort so I am still interested in these headphones. I have seen reviews, saying the newer Sony XM4's have 25% more surface space on the ear pads along with less clamping force so I am left to wonder, do I purchase the QC35 v2 or Sony XM4. Also Both the Sony XM3 and XM4 use USB C charging and support fast charging but the Bose QC 35 v2 use the older micro or mini USB. With that said, comfort is my goal so if both are the same in comfort I would get the XM4's. If the Bose QC15 v2 are even slightly more comfortable then I would get them.

ANC suck on my QC35ii. I’m upgrading to fw 4.8.1 right now and I hope it’ll help. I updated to fw 4.5.2 from fw 3.1.8 which improved ANC a bit but sound quality diminished quite a bit to where I almost have to turn it all the way up for it to be enjoyable listening volume. Anyone know lose experiencing this? Anyone, please help. Would much appreciate any feedback? Thank you.

I have a QC 35 ( first one ) for a round 4 years now I still use it today it been through a lot snow&hot weather,long commutes,in my bag back with / without the case. I use it at least 6 hours a day min. In that time what has gone bad : Well the EAR CUPS will start turning into black flakes the pleather just does that over time I had to change it twice in one year. To solve that I got some softer cushion with pleather on sides but not on the ear cup itself.( Third party item ) HEAD BAND as it looks bad but it still funtiins fine just looking to change it. The AUX CORD I don't use it much but I do connect it to my ps4 controller to play some games, after a year it broke. Got a good strong braided cable and it been working fine since. These headphones are rock solid !! I remember the day I walked in the store to purchase them ( before this decision I was testing them in store then watching reviews comparing them with other high end headphones at the time ) , thinking I am going to fork up the cash to get myself something durable and nice and sound great. I was used to the buy the cheap 2 ear bud's that broke like every month, I got 2 sony bluetooth headphones and they still didn't outlast this headphone as 1 broke pior and I didn't have much confidence in the other which turn out correct as it eventually broke. Best investment yet. Hope you found this help fulful sorry for the long comment.

Paired my Bose 35ii with my Sony BDP-S6700 bluetooth DVD Player. The sound quality is extremely distorted (under water?). Fine with other accessories. However, no problem when DVD player is paired with my older Bose OE. Any help?

Bought these during Amazon Prime day. Really great headphones. Replaced my wired Audio technica m30x, the sound is a little heavy on the lows with not much clarity in the highs. But any eq will bring these headphones to life. Would recommend

I agree with you that the noise cancelling is amazing but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the sound quality. It's just all bass and no treble which dulls the sound quality . For the price of these I expected a lot better. I guess it's back to Sony for me.
