this speaker is not excelent speaker yeah its good speaker but not excellent there are speaker out ther that more cheap but sound is excelent
You had me at "…no power brick…". Yes it has a chunkier plug, but it still appears relatively smaller than a brick in the middle of the cord.

Is it possible to use it without a computer or a laptop, but only by attaching it to an Audio Mixer (like Behringer Xenyx series) directly for power (electricity) and audio needs - Meaning, total avoidance of a computer? Also, can this be used as a Monitor during musical performances to get the feedback sound?

To be honest I like the approach of a single volume control on an entry-level device.Most media players allow you to change this on source if you really want to.

I just picked up a pair of these used for $12 today at a thrift shop, and I have to say they're a huge upgrade from the Cyber Acoustics I was using prior.

Whenever I use these speakers I hear a slight buzzing noise but then whenever I play a song or sound they sound really muffled and just weird. Any fix?

I own these and wouldn't recommend them. They cannot be turned off. They're not the worst speakers, however, you can do better for the money. I bought klipsch 2.1 Pro media for the same price which also cannot be turned off but their sound is much more full spectrum than the Bose.
I bought a pair of these for $89.99 at Target. These are great speakers. I use them at work. I have one on each side of my monitors and the sound is crisp and perfectly balanced. I only wish Win10 had an equalizer so I could make them sound even better.
I bought these at a Estate sale for $2.00 and re-sold them for around $70.00
First of all Great video and thanks for the tips. I just bought them and after weeks of searching and comparing products but your video made me order them ( could always send them back) Now i want to share that this speakerset is amazing on so many levels and that for just 99 euros. This must be the best option for thge price range of 80-130 euros.
BOSE is a german brand and the E at the end has to be pronounced as well...

Bought these but the audio cable is way too short (only 3 feet). Since they were too short I could not connect them to my desktop computer which sits underneath my computer desk. Obviously they were meant for a laptop only. Bose should warn people they are not meant to be connected to a desktop computer if the desktop computer sits further away than 1 or 2 feet.
I have my personal computer, and my company computer. I can plug them both in without switching between these. Big bonus for me, and I think also for a lot of people. This is a killer feature of Bose, as no other speakers at this price point do this.
this is garbage..it is big enough to contain the internal power supply but it doesn't.. this is a HUGE deal..
I've had these speakers for a few years now and I've been quite satisfied! With the right placement - and it takes some moving around you can really "dial" these in. Close to your ears works, but if you can set them back enough where their angle points to your ears, you'll find a whole different experience.
i purchased this and i was way disappointed . They sound like they have socks over them . I went back to Logitech and purchased the the Z623.. it blows Bose out of the water for 119.00!
