i recently worked on a tractor which had a shotgun shell start option. it's old and ill probably never see this design again but a shot gun shell way in mechanics works well .

If you want something powerful but still safe for kids make a Drano bomb with aluminum foil into little balls dropped into a bottle then pour some drain cleaner in if liquid (or if grains add water after) screw on and shake the bottle and throw it away or for a huge bang. Or (and not recommended because it's dangerous but really fun) Ammonium nitrate that is in all fertilizers for plants + Oil fuel or aluminum powder in a closed container but use a long fuse and run far away because it's more explosive than TNT & in big amounts it can blow up a few city blocks just look at what happened in Beirut.

Why don’t they use a portable “bomb wall”? Something with holes for your arms with armored sleeves. Also add a porthole, or better yet a camera so there’s no unnecessary holes. It’d be a lot easier to function in than a blast suit, and could protect just as well, if not more. Or you could even combine the two.🤷🏻
why not just make a bomb with all the same color wires? it seems like the whole premise for most bomb defusal movies is cutting colored wires so why wouldn't the attacker adapt to just use one color?

It annoys me when they cut the wire and the timer stops. Why would it? And going to 0 is irrelevant.

Strangest place I've found a bomb was inside a rock. It was a real rock that had been hollowed out. Only reason I seen it was because whatever they used to put the two halves together had deteriorated. Was able to see a clear almost perfect cut line on it and stopped the trucks. I didn't have to deal with it. I was Infantry so we just called EOD and waited . . . for 9 hours.
