Awesome channel!! Wondering if you could do a review on Annke 1080p IP POE with 4 cameras (1080p/2mp) NVR SYSTEM. There's nothing on YouTube about DIY with this specific system, yes they talk about other Annke systems but not the one I mentioned above! Annke home/online has video about what's included with each system package but never explains how to properly setup as NVR or stand alone DVR cctv , or why the H.246 video compression doesn't active, or how to activate it in the check box on the screen when it also doesn't let you. If you could do, thanks in advance. :)

Hi can someone give me advice I have a 1080p camera on my prolux dvr recorder which the seller said it’s upto 5mp now if I go into my settings on the dvr recorder it only seems to go upto 1080p but if I bought a 5mp camera wil it detect it and change on the settings to 5mp wen it’s plugged in

Stop worrying about megapixels, worry about sensor size as these cameras at night time probably look like CRAP. If you need to see something far away then you need to have an appropriate lens and proper camer aplacement rather than relying on camera resolution to be a bandaid fix for your issue. Cramming more and more pixels into a smaller and smaller sensor is a sure fire way to ruin your image quality due to poor light sensitivity, ESPECIALLY at night. 1/1.8" is the smallest sensor size I'd even think about using these days.
I've set up a few systems and even caught a few events, but this explains the challenges I faced, but had not control over the equipment selection. It worked out. Thanks.
