That sticker 😂😂
Podcastage, plzzzz, make a review with Beyerdynamic TG V35d s.
Hey Bandrew, I miss your comment about spokenword/voiceover recordings with the V70D! I like it with your voice, what do you think?
I like listening to it directly compared to other dynamic mics like sm58/57, Shure Beta 58, Telefunken M80 etc.
In the last episode of Bandrew says you mentioned Anton Brown's reviews. I like, that he does extra tests for the "s-sounds". I think that can help to form an opinion on the harshness oft a mic, how crisp the highs sound. Tests of ISK microphones are very rare to find, i have no idea how their dynamic mics sound ... ;-) I hope you are curious too!
You like more than the telefunken m80?
Would this be good for voice over? Great video!
Hi can you make a review about AKG D7 which is a great competitor of that mic,, thanks bro,, I want to know which is better, thank u
I’m so glad to see you reviewing modern Beyers. They’re so underrated!! Sorry, joking.
Beyer knows what it’s doing, focusing on smooth response. That’s what we need. A smooth response, even if not to your taste, can be easily EQ’d. Very helpful review.
I have tried many mics over the years (almost 20 years now) and for live use, this mic has been the best one! It was a revelation when I first tried it and compared it to other mics. It does naturally how I would usually EQ my voice, so it's super easy to plug it in and go.
In the studio I use the AKG C414II, but for live, you can't beat this one! (depending on your voice and style)
Better than the beyerdynamic 88? I’ m gonna use it in a mic stand for singing and harmonica playing, wich one do you recommend me? Thank you
You've helped me alot. Thx bro. Subbed and thumbed up! Think I'm getting this after about 6 hours research on YT lol 😎👍
What do you think about the sennheiser profipower 431 MARK 2, and the Beyerdynamic 88 comparison for a mid low male voice and Harmonica playing , acoustic gigs ...just with the companion of another guitarrist on live gigs , Maybe a condenser one? The sennheiser 965? Playing With a Peavey 200 watts PA..
Sounds sooooo good
Oh, Bandrew! You (and Anton Browne) really triggered my G.A.S. - I just ordered one.
BTW, when it arrives, should I send you the sticker?
Beyerdynamic is very a underrated company. Go to a prof. site like Gearslutz and you´ll see how musicians think about it. There´s hardly a mic that they don´t like.
Would you use it to record voices or just to live?
I bought it! And returned it in a week. 😐 It is great for acoustic guitar or podcasting.
However for singing......the proximity effect is overwhelming! Too much bass. You have to sing 3 miles from mic.
Also: I got a version with a switch. It broke in just a few days! 🤬 I had to screw it back on when I was returning the mic. Luckly noone noticed. Now some other poor bastard will get a mic with broken switch. 😢
Buying it today for live singing 🎤🔊😊
Very good mic !!!
I’m pretty certain the TG V70d uses the same capsule as they used in the TG X60... I’ve used both extensively and they’re very similar in character. My trusty TG X60 has just inexplicably failed (massive drop in output) after performing flawlessly for many years. I’ve ordered a TG V70d to replace it but having stripped the TG X60, the capsule, as expected looks to be identical, it’s suspended differently, on the X60, it’s suspended on four rubber lugs rather than the rubber cone underneath... the lugs are still there on the V70d albeit unused. I’m hoping that I can order a new capsule for a reasonable price to restore my X60... you can never have too many Beyer mics, they eat the SM58/Beta58 for breakfast in my opinion... a few of my friends have ditched their SM58s after trying one of my Beyers too. Their ability to cut through in a live environment is unrivalled for a dynamic mic (in my experience).
v70d vs v71d...
Wow what a beautiful voice
If you check Beyerdynamic's web site the Graph is completely different...It's alot smoother....Might want to check if your TG70 is an older model??
Can you suggest me something I want to buy the best dynamic byerdynamic mic for live vocals and less noise rejection which one would you recommend?
The top of cartridge measures 38mm ou 30mm?
Hey man which is the diameter of top side of cartridge ?
I really enjoy your mic reviews.
How about a direct comparison between the TG V70D and the current M88TG?
I really enjoyed your overview of the TG V70D microphone and like your style! As a result I subscribed to your channel and look forward to viewing more of your videos.
What are your thoughts on using this microphone at a greater distance of maybe 15 to 20 cm from your mouth?
4:45 if i bought this and saw that graph it would be back in the box and returned lol
The TG v70d and the SM58 both cost $99 so it's a tough choice!!!
Please could you review the Audio-Technica AE 5400?
I've been waiting for this!I have tg v71
I ned a mic for flute , hamonica and singing. Nothing . I'm in between Shure beta a 58 and Sennheiser e945. Had a Shure sm 58 before ( got stolen) , it worked fine but would like one of these. Thanks in advance for any answer.
Have you tried the Rode M2 or M3 for this price range? I also like the beta 57a more than the 58a so far as shures are concerned.
tg v70 d win all the way!
In case it matters to your audience: all three of these microphone manufacturers are still family owned.
I have sold for both German manufacturers and still do for one of them. The lack of low end in the Sennheiser is likely to be intentional because if you’re really loud and need to close mic for level, lows interfere with intelligibility. One certainly couldn’t use the beyerdynamic close without really rolling off the bottom end because the proximity effect would kill you. If I didn’t need to use it close, I’d go with the beyerdynamic. It sounds more natural. So that’s an application issue.
I recently had the opportunity to A/B the beyerdynamic V70 with the less expensive cardioid V50. Cardioids are more feedback prone but better if you need vocalists to share a mic because of a broader front pickup angle. Tonally, I could not tell the difference, and I was listening through an excellent live powered loudspeaker in a quiet room. It was seriously surprising how identical they were. If you don’t need the tighter polar pattern or if you need to mix both patterns on a stage, look at the V50.
Good review mate..! I`m always surprised how flat and muffled the shure 58 & bets 58 mics sound. IMO there are many superior mics out there to the so called industry standard shure mics.
I've tried the lower-priced Sennheiser dynamics: I found the 945 had far too much high end for me, lots of sibilance, pops, very breathy - ie it shows clearly how poor my technique is. Hence I prefer the 845. I found the 835 muted, and the 935 similar to the 945, but the 845 is the sweet spot for my voice and ability.
Or A Tom Jones or a Englebert Humperdinck Vocalist !!!
Explain a Elvis Presley Voice on the mics he used !
I just have to get that Beyerdynamic!
I'm shure disappointed with the beta 58.
Try the sE Electronics - V7
Nice review. Can you please do review of The t.bone MB85 Beta?
After using a lot of microphones i chose Beyerdynamic TGV-71 and Sennheiser Md431 II..Also Audio-Technica ATM-710 when i dont have a drummer on the stage!
Really nice comparison.
The ‘what do they invite’ exercise is brilliant. (Which I guess is really Mr. Manual in another form.)
I’m so happy I’ve found your youtube channel, though I just watch the mic comparisons.
Big up your good self.
A very fun comparison, as always. I like the humming and ohm exercise (3rd one I think historically). As a sax player, I am more into instrument mics, but if in the future you get your hands on RE20 I would be very interested, perhaps if compared to the SV33, Rodes or the top dynamics/ribbons you have access to (Beyers/Sennheisers).
Thanks for the comparison Anton! I am curious how EV ND96 compares to this trio (If you have heard it as it is intended for a similar application) and which of these performs best at a 15 to 20 cm distance from a person’s lips?
I like the outro! I order a Beyerdynamic - TG V90r but I received a TG V50 instead. Wanted to see your review before I opened the box. Thanks for the video.
I don't know why, but I realize Beyerdynamic really suits my taste, no matter microphones for headphones.
Can i use this for interview
Great review! Could you test the beyerdynamic TG V35 S
It'd be really helpful if you were able to do a review of the Beyerdynamic TG D65C condenser vocal mic, there seems to be very little information about it, but what there is sounds promising.
I A/B'd the cheaper version of this mic the TG V30D against my SM58's, it blew them away and at a third of the price I'll be buying a lot more of them. I may pick-up a TG V50 to try as well.
I'm doing good; thanks for asking. And you were asking because, deep down, you care.
I brought one of these mics a few months ago.
Its excellent. Really warm sounding and great clarity and crisp. Very impressed indeed. Compared to the beta 58a..The beyerdynamic has more bite and headroom.
I'm doing fine thanks, your video was informative and entertaining. I do however enjoy when u wing-it and things come out a bit weird :)
I had one and dumped it. It seemed to highlight the highs and lows sucked. I prefer my Miktek T89 and AKG D-5 more. I do voice and podcast stuff.
Everything I wanted to know is incredibly streamlined and accessible
What's the difference between this and the V50d?
Fab review mate fair play keep up your great work, you’ll go far great vocals lovely and clear and a fantastic review all round fun to watch to 👍🏻
I had a donut today. =)
I'm doing well, thanks
My day's been alright thanks
As always good review.
Could you PLEASE review Proel DM581 usb microphone. It's very popular in my country.
Can you please do a studio projects cs5?
