Holy hell. That's RILEYS voice during the intro.
It's awesome to watch these older videos and note that you've still got that lovely aesthetic. Editing and audio quality has come a long way though!
Keep growing guys, one of the best tech channels out there 👍

Who else is watching 6 years later?
It's headphones have mikraphone?
Do they use the same air pads as 770Pro?
16 OHM ?!!!
is there software download for these type of headphones-just bought a pair but no disc was included
Having bought a Beyerdynamic Custom One PRO Plus 2 years ago, and having used it no more than about 20 times, it is untennable that the diadema (top cushion) and both ear cushions material gets literally destryed as if some rats have bitten the protective material (simulated leather), so after 2 years (and each 2 years in the future) I will have to spend about 50 euros to use them. UNTENNABLE!
is this better than the dt990 pros?
Custom one or dt990?
Who else noticed the Quizlet intro??
Got it like $110(MYR460) few months ago. Couldn't be more happier.
Do you happen to have a review of the K812?
when you keep the back plate open do they become open back headphones?
I can get these for 130 euro's now. Is that still worth it mid 2018? I'm planning to use them mainly for gaming.
These (maybe even the pro PLUS) or mmx 300?
Watching this in 2017 just makes me think just how good your videos even was back in 2013
what's better for gaming? Custom one pro or Hyperx cloud 2?
I got these headphones on sale for $144 on Amazon
im going from turtle beach x12s to this so how impressed will i be? I play pc only as well it wont be through my phone
Im still using these after 6 years and i still love them. I just upgraded them with the Beyerdynamic microphone-cable, which is neat
it great until you got the DT880
a review so old propably helped me choose between these and the m50's. Headphones industry doesnt change very fast
I'm surprised no one is talking about Davie504
Is it okay to use this with smartphones? Would the sound quality decrease if i use it with smartphone for listening flac or 320kbits mp3 files?
Are these still holding up for 2020?
Bought these after watching this video. Great review. Years later these are still the best headphones ive ever owned and and blow other comparably price headphones out the water. I use them as my main listening headphone, DJing and Mixing. The Bass port is a incredibly handy feature. Now looking to buy another something more high end from Beyerdynamic as a main studio headphones. I'm super impressed. Love the customization. Love the Available spare parts. Incredibly comfortable. Bass is epic for any electronic lovers out there. Clarity with bass reduce is beautiful if you are a varied listener. Then go louder than I would ever care to listen. I love how I can pump out my studio monitors and then when its late transition to these and continue the same experience as if nothing has changed. Bass Thumps ! Many hour in them, many hours to come. I listen the deepest realms of House and Techno, Psy, Bass, Ambient, Dub, Reggae, Hip Hop, DnB, Rock, Soul, Indie all the way to mainstream pop. Love em!
sounds good without an amp... 16 ohm headphones...
Bass ports... no wonder Davie 504 uses them so much
I remember when I first watched this video thinking the ATH-M50x and Beyer Custom One Pros were the best headphones in the world from the way they were hyped. Now I'm looking back with my high end $2,000 electrostatic headphones that I bought with my high school part time job paychecks lol.
Please dont spread the "Burn In" myth any further. There are already way too many fools that believe this bs.
can anybody tell me about soundstage? im looking for wide soundstage, i have the oppo pm3s and i dont want another narrow soundstage, oppos are not so much narrow but i want something more airy" im watching these and the mdr 1am2, i have the wm1a.
Are these good in 2019 ?
Who's watching in 2026?
Which do you like more, B-Moda M100 or this ones?
I am going for beyerdynamic but I was more onto 770 800 and 990 as very popular but I don't know how this is in comparison to those with respect to sound quality.
Finally saw a review of Davie504's headhones
Have you reviewed One Odio Pro 10 ? And can you compare these two headphones ?
you are a friendly guy, great review, greetings from Germany, Alfredo
Davie504 brought me here.
Are they relevant in 2020?
S L A P P
Whats up SLAPPERS
Does these have the same driver of the dt 770 pro?
The inner seam of the ear pads irritated my ears. So, I got the velour pads, much better. They should consider shipping with both.
when you keep the back plate open do they become open back headphones?
Do beyerdynamic custom game
getting a beats add before this is like next lvl trolling
How do these compare to the HD 6 mix?
would you consider doing a review of the beyer DT 770 80 ohm? I know this is a old video and you probably won't see this but I personally love them and wonder how you like them in comparison to your beloved M50.
V-moda M100 or Custom one pro?
They are great for music/video and gaming. You do have to buy a mic separately, it doesn't come in the box. The reviews on it are pretty shit and say it breaks quickly :/
+UrAvgConsumer are these better than the ATH-M50x ?
how did you get the greý ear cups?
own one for 2 years... still using them because they are absolutely great (and im broke), using it outdoors indoors, isolation works well for me... lots of detail and clarity in the musics... only downside is that it tends to get warm after long hours wearing (about 4-5 hours) but maybe because im using it without an a/c and my area is almost 33degC everyday~
Well mine now Lost bass but i use poweramp :)
Hi. Thanks for the video. Are the "Custom Pro One Plus" louder than the "DT 770 Pro 32 Ohm"?
I returned the "DT 770 Pro 32 Ohm" today because it was not loud enough on my Samsung Galaxy A3 2017
Man i actually have some High end headphones (amiron, focal elear, hd600) and some mid lower headphones, im interesed with these custome, so do you recommend them for street use? Thanks a lot.
The Custom One Pro's sound best when you replace the pleather pads with valour pads and replace the cables (I am using V Moda cables). With the pads, you do lose some of the passive noise cancelling but you gain a much better mid range sound and more open sound stage. The cable replacement just means you get a decent sound level from the headphones, which is the major issue I found with them.
The other things is they take a huge amount of time to break in. Easily 100-150+ hours, which is a pity cause they sound pretty terrible out of the box. The other issue I find when wearing them is I just boil, they are in no way a good portable headphone and because the pads are do big, I can feel them on the cheek bone by my ear, which isn't very comfortable.
Over all they can be a great set of earphones but I do have issues with them.
I already own a pair of Audio Technica MSR7, but I've been secretely in love with Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus since a while...
I listen to metal (death, viking, folk, metalcore, deathcore and some of power metal), but I still like detailed music without too much bass (my equalisers have mids and highs above the bass)..
The ATH MSR7 do a splendid job, but I've read some comparisons between them and the Beyerdynamic...and the latter win in most cases regarding "overall" performance.
What frightens me is that you said the Beyerdynamic's mids and highs are a little low...but I still want them to be mine!
Do you think I should give a try to these cans?
Thank you for your response! ^_^
should i get these or sennheiser hd569 .. pls tell me
There is a tiny notch that guides the way the cable goes in
The moible cable has a locking mechanism
Dave, I was thinking of getting a higher end set of headphones and was looking at the Beyer Amiron Home, which you had reviewed. Do you still consider that a good option?
Other reviewers also seem to agree that these headphones shine when they're set to a more neutral setting. At least it's a nice option to adjust the bass level.
