I own this exact tripod and use it with a 7D Mk2 and 400mm L f5.6 and a 1.4x teleconverter with no issues whatsoever. I found it to be by far the best value/performance in it's price range, I found the Carbon one for £199 in a local camera store and haven't looked back.
Really smart this video, reaches the maximum of the disaster in the filming done there, together with the chaos of all the objects near them and especially the black T-shirt! Excellent camouflage in order to not permit to see the object in question, I would have added a strong spotlight against the camera to make it even more contrasted the demonstration! Lost the brain?
I have one of the original Travel Flat tripods A2190T (I went for the heavy-duty one), and a plumb bob revealed the legs are pretty much symmetrical. It may be an optical illusion with the new design, or it may be different, but mine seems pretty well balanced. My travel flat goes with me every time I go on a trip. I hate the way tripods attach to most camera bags - almost as an afterthought - and I can pack my tripod inside my carry on.

The white plastic inside the ballhead is called delrin.Its a very good material for a ball head!

i have the induro ct014 carbon fibre perfect for travel :-) they are both the same company.
I have the aluminum travel angel and when its folded up its then this weird round/triangle shape and I could see the benefit of this design. Since one leg sticks out normally and then you put it in the travel bag, it takes up twice as much space as this one would.
You travel around a bit! Would you buy one Matt? I personally wouldn't. A flat pack tripod is probably not going to make huge difference in a suitcase.

Good and bad news guys! Been in touch with Benro and they currently no longer make a flat tripod which is a big mistake in my opinion. The good news is they have released an upgraded version of this tripod which is available in the UK, US and rest of the world. Link in the description of this video. 😊

It's not a purchase , it's an investment !!.My last tripod lasted well over 10 years , and I expect my present one to age just as gracefully - so do the maths , and do the research , and see how much the tripod is REALLY costing you ( per year )

That's the best "un-boxing" I've ever seen.....much better than waiting for 10 minutes while someone shows us how to open a cardboard box and then spends 5 minutes talking about the contents :-)

The biggest dilemma for me in choosing a travel tripod was choosing a light ( weight ) and low (height) model , or going for a slightly heavier model that was taller - in the end , I opted for the latter .So many people think that because you are willing to lug around such gear , you must be a pro ( especially if you are willing to use it in water ( for waterfall pictures etc) ) . One thing for folk wishing to buy any type of tripod , is the weight the are going to put on it ( camera body and lens etc) .I actually wrecked my last tripod because it wasn't designed for a DSLR body and heavy nature lens - ooops !!. BTW , SOME travel tripods have spikes you can screw into the tripod legs for extra stability in ( soggy) ground , which is also something to look out for

2.2kg is very heavy for a tripod! You seemed to have trivialised the weight. When you travel, you want to be as light as possible. Every half a kg makes a difference! (Any surprise why many have made the switch to mirrorless cameras?) There are many other better lightweight tripods out there. Even for every day, non-travel use, I wouldn't carry 2.2kg around.

Loved the tripod....until I saw the price, nearly choked, I'll stick with my Manfroto, £18 off eBay and a monopod lol can you review a tripod more realisticly priced, otherwise I'll have to stick with my natural travel tripod i.e. a wall, a table, a chair, a rock lol
Nice video. Carbon fiber is not just a weight advantage, it has better vibration absorption, stability and cold temperatures properties.
I tested the smallest BENRO C0190T CARBON and I was shocked how flimsy this ultralight model was. If I snapped it with my finger and the tripod would fibrate up to 10 second! I could even see how the camera shake few seconds. Next I test the largerst carbon version
