Yea I was looking at the sirui tripods I only need a tripod for photography don't really shoot videos. I have no qualms about buying used either. There is just so many options out there. I recently got a manfrotto 229 head which I'm quite happy with it don't mind the weight of the tripod too much. Although carbon fibre seems like the best option and ideally would like one that came with spiked feet also

Ok thanks for the speedy reply I am on the verge of ordering the c3770tn my biggest lens is a 70 200 2.8 so that will be more than enuff. It's currently on sale for £240 and I can't think of a better tripod for the money regards frankie

08:57 The head has a double panaromy adjustment. You don't need a leveling base. You're very handsome
Do you really need the levelling base when both these tripods come with dual panning heads? If the legs are not level, is it not possible to just unlock the ball on the ball head, level the top plate on the head, lock the ball then if you are panning/rotating use the top panning feature only.

I hate twist locks, but the walking stick nob is brilliant! I am getting one for my monopod. And indeed I always wait for long-term gear reviews, the day one reviews are more commercial previews and look disingenuous.

The only problem with it is its weight, i felt it heavy
I have an older version of the Bento Travel Angel ( no door knob included) and agree with many of your points but the twist locks drive me crazy, and I've just never gotten used to the adjustments knobs on the ball head. Also when working in the dark for night shots, fitting the plate on the head can be tricky. The head can't handle big heavy lenses and at least the version I have just won't adjust to exactly where I want place my focus point, I find I'm constantly trying to reposition and retighten.
I have a $1000+ tripod (Manfrotto 057) and it is overkill for most tasks. But it works great for use as a grab and go tripod with 20+ lbs of astronomy gear.

I returned my PD Travel tripod last week after a few days of field testing. There were so many things I didn't like and they want to sell you many of the items that come with the Benro you're describing. Oh, the QR register code is hidden under a leg and you have to disassemble the tripod to get to it. I'm tempted to get the IFOOTAGE 65" Aluminum tripod now.
Why did you buy an iPad? You probably spent a lot on it. You know that there are a lot of other more inexpensive tablets on the market. I would buy the Peak Design tripod because it’s sleek design, size and weight inspires me to take a tripod with me. Your tripod is no different than countless others.

I have the cheapie MeFoto version of this tripod. I used the leg as a walking stick on a 40-mile, 3 day hike. The bottom section came out. I was able to repair it, but I would not suggest using it as a walking stick
