Excellent review man, thank you very much! Planning to get a m1 Mac mini and I need this monitor!
Hi- why would the color balance change on the screen when all I have done is click on the file or move the file slightly? Is this a fault of the monitor? SW2700 BENQ or is something else going on? Also, when I open a file in as a smart object and then open in photoshop, the color balance or saturation is different in camera raw then it is as a photoshop file. Monitor is calibrated. Thanks so much!
I have had to replace my SW2700PT twice already because they both would have the same issue "the screen would go black randomly and increasing frequency" . Anyone else had this issue?
As a 2k monitor do you see any issues in using it to generate timelapse videos that are 4k?
I loved mine but it died just after only two years.
HELP
I had calibrated 2700 PT with the following set up 3 months back ( help from you thanks ) and extremely happy with the results and prints . But on my monthly calibration now again it fails and some color patterns on the monitor
Options selected: Software ….3.8 , D65, Panel Native , 80 Candles , Absolute and Relative black (both fails ), 16bit LUT, Large sample
No change in set up . Same old problems of taking too long and validation fail
Hello I just ordered mine and I didn’t buy the calibrator do I need to buy it or it’s ok?
Is there audio output?
Should I buy this or the 270c? I ordered the prior but still hasn't shipped due to back order. I'm highly considering canceling and ordering the 270c with Hdr.
Nice video! How should I calibrate if I’m connecting with a Blackmagic mini monitor through HDMI. I know my color space is rec 709 but I’m not sure if making the calibration trough the video card and Mac OS and then go through the HDMI is accurate.
Review was really helpful. Thanks a lot.
I have been researching for monitors for my new build (Ryzen 7 3700X, Nvidia 2070) for Video and Photo editing (DaVinci Resolve, Shotcut, Lightworks, GIMP, Darktable). Works mainly on Linux. I have shortlisted - 1) BenQ SW2700PT 2)LG 27UK650 3)Acer PE270K 4) BenQ PD2700Q. Please help me choose the best for my need. Can also suggest any other better ones in these price range. Thank you.
Hi art, which you recommend for web design and print illustrations work between PD2700U and SW2700PT. I work ob Adobe Photoshop, indesign, illustrator, XD
I purchased this monitor a few years ago. I am having issues with this monitor as it loses connection very frequently. I then have to turn off my pc and reboot, sometimes it works and other times it still will not connect to my pc(Acer7th gen i7 processor. Nvidia geforce GTX1050) . I am using dvi port to connect, what am l doing wrong?
Hi ArtIsRight, I wonder If there are any known issues with connecting a MBPro mid 2015 (mine is equipped with AMD Radeon R9 M370x), when using one of the two Thunderbolt 2-ports?
Might I rather go for using the hdmi-port?
Can I actually use either SW2700PT or the upgraded SW270C? - connected directly to my MBPpro?
Will it make sense buying the upgraded model right now, even though my MBPro doesn't have a USB-C? (my next Mac/pc Will definitely have this!)
I'll appreciate your response on your excellent channel. Have a nice day!
/John
Thank you for your content! I've just purchased this monitor and I'm very excited about it. However, I'm having a connectivity problem. I try to connect the monitor to my laptop using the USB cable, but the monitor keeps saying that there is no cable connected. I can't use it at the moment because I don't have ports for the other cables provided. Do you know what might be the problem here?
Has anyone used this monitor connected to a Mac via DisplayPort? Does it send sound to the headphone jack? It does work with HDMI, but I would like to see it work via DisplayPort as well.
HELP! I have been trying to run PME to calibrate my SW2700PT for days. I sent an email to BenQ support but have not heard back yet. I sent another email today with more information:
Just some added information. SW2700PT (manufacture date January 2017), Windows 10 64bit, Nividia GeForce GT430, DVI and USB B (the square type) connected. I1Display Pro.
As I stated, after I set everything up in PME and click to start the measurement, it does NOT do any measuring, it goes immediately to (in yellow letters) “writing LUT”, then moves to Measuring (in white letters) where it stops and the entire screen goes white and I have to turn off the computer and not from any menu because there is none.
I'm confused. If I buy the SW2700PT, would I be getting a unit from 2015? Or has the PT been upgraded? Or is the SW2700C (usb) model the upgraded version of the PT?
Hi love your channel! I would really love to know what cpu/system unit/base unit you are using with this monitor ? Thanks I hope this isn't a dumb question
Hi Teoh, I'm curious how different will the drawing you've showed looks on Adobe RGB and sRGB? How the color of those looks like?
I'm doing graphic design works, illustration, animation and some 3D modeling. I wanted to do prints of my artwork. I was looking at PD2700U but I couldn't find one that has Adobe RGB with the different color/ picture mode for designer in PD series. Do you have any idea or suggestion? Thank you!
i) Can I detach the Hotkey Puck?
ii) Can I switch between multiple inputs using one button on the Hotkey Puck?
Hi Teoh, I am looking at one of these second hand. If they have the stand missing and the remote, can you still change all of the available monitor settings without this remote? Cheers, James
BenQ SW2700PT Monitor vesa Mount compatible
What budget monitor do you recommend nowadays? It's hard to find good Adobe RGB monitor
super helpful
Hello Teoh just ordered today and I’m photographer is it still worth it? I want more accurate color

one question, why you used the Spyder software, doesnt this BenQ model can use the Benq Palette Master?
interesting. i too have spyder 5 pro but when i calibrated it using the spyder software it gives me 93Adobe Rgb and 97% Srgb Readings after calibration.
am i did something wrong here?
It includes miniDP/Thunderbolt 2 cables, or just standard DP-DP?
Looking for a quality monitor for MacPro with DVI/miniDP, and 2 Thunderbolt 2 equipped Apples (MacBook Pro, Mac mini). Would this be the best option compared to the newer UHD, curved monitors (which I don’t believe my hardware supports)?
Thanks in advance! Great review
Hello, which monitor do you recommend for video editing and color grading? I am interested in BenQ SW2700PT or Dell UP2716D
For the PD3200U, what % Adobe RGB is covered, it's not written on the specs ?
Would you consider 27" or 32" as the most suitable and practical for workflow and comfort, and 2K good enough than 4K display?
Very interesting review! I´ll buy this monitor for my girlfriend because she really needs one. I´ve noticed this is a 10 bit monitor and since she is using a macbook pro 2017 with 8 bit how do i reach the 10 bit? This is probable a dumb question but im a lawyer and that´s not my area of expertice lol. Thanks in advance!
Do you think it's still worth buying in 2020?
can you edit your 4K videos on this one_ Can you watch 4k videos on this desktop_ thanks a lot
How good is this out of the box? Thanks!
I'm buying this monitor. Thanks for review. ️
great review thanks
man this is an expensive tv you should treat it a bit better:) you are a bit harsh with it:) but thanks for the demonstration
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing. I learned a lot.

Gracias, me ha resultado muy instructivo, pues estoy en el cambio de mí monitor y este modelo es de los que estoy siguiendo.
