HI! The hotkey works until the computer is restarted. When rebooted, the port settings and image in Display Pilot are unchecked! anyone got the same ?
Best review I've watched on this monitor. Sold!
Is it a true 10 bit, or 8 bit + FRC?
any issues with apple iPad or connecting it to macbook and pc same time? You can switch between computers? How many? Is dual view enough for showing two adobe apps? Great video!
Very well explained. Really like your all videos. I bought 2 monitors Benq pd2700U, using nvidia 1080 and threadripper 1920x. I use 3ds max when the file gets heavy monitors flickers. Probably its because of my graphics card is not enough to use these two 4k monitors. What do you think may be the reason? If graphics is the issue, is it worth to buy 3080 0r 3090 graphics card to resolve this problem? Thanks
As a recent new BenQ user ( 3 x 27" 4k monitors ), I can say that BenQ DOES NOT stand behind their products. I suggest people look elsewhere.
Matt 😡
Great video!
THE HUMAN EYE CANNOT SEE 4K RESOLUTION IN A 32" MONITOR...
.... scientific fact so this is LITERALLY a waste of money!
Really engaging and informative video. Well paced. Well done. And thank you
Hi Hardware Canucks
After reading and watching a lot of reviews I am totally confused between buying PD3200U ($600), PD2700U ($430), Dell U3219Q ($850), Dell U2720Q ($600) or Dell P2721Q ($440). All models have same 3 year warranty here in India. I spend about 10 hours a day in front of the screen and need my monitor for productivity apps like Power BI, Excel, G-suite and text, browsing, reading. I prefer 4k over 2k for better smoothness of font (after scaling). Color accuracy is of no concern to me and I use f.lux to reduce blue light even at daytime and sometimes even convert the screen to greyscale. At 47 years I have presbyopia and so will be keeping the monitor at about 3 feet+ distance. I normally prefer to work under low-lights. I will use the monitor both portrait and landscape (mainly landscape). I use both Mac and Windows and am also looking at a way to use them parallelly on a single monitor ( I don't know if KVM feature of Benq is of any help). Though I would like a USB-c but I don't mind a few extra wires if the cost difference is huge to get a USC-C port (available in dell models). My main requirement is eye-comfort and text clarity.
I am inclined to use 32" for the size benefit at 3-feet distance but maybe the text smoothness might be lesser than 27 inch due to lesser PPI. (I got spoilt for text clarity using Macbook Retina display for 8 years.) I am inclined to go for PD3200U but have read lots of bad reviews about its flickering issues and maybe faulty AUO panel, bleeding issues etc. If I was to choose 27 inch, then PD2700U features look more attractive than P2721Q for same price point. But I dont know if any of the PD2700U marketed features like eye-comfort etc are better than P2721Q of dell which happens to be the latest model too. Dell is known for better warranty servicing here in India and I have used dell before but Benq would be a totally new product line. I have no place to go an check these monitors as they get ordered online and are not available on stores. Therefore checking before buying is out of question.
Please provide your valuable suggestions so that I can choose one with ease. ( any other model than these ? Please suggest)
Thanks!
I have BenQ SW2700PT 2K Professional Hardware Calibrated Monitor (MFG Jan 2020) For Photo and Video Editing 100% Adobe RGB. Panel Native with Color Calibration give more gamut than Adobe RGB, sRGB, REC.709(videos). Yup with hotkey puck.👍 For more info check ArtIsRight channel for all BenQ Monitor related videos.
Is this the same as the PD2700u except slightly bigger?
Long live hurricane x
Hi and thanks for this. I want to get better color resolution to mess around with photo editing, and for watching movies. I have an old computer with: Intel(R) Core (TM) i5 3470 CPU @ 3.20 GHz with 8 GB RAM. Do you know if this will power such a monitor? I'm afraid I'm not much of a computer man.
Thanks!
NO HDR.
Love your reviews guys. They always hit the things I'm looking for regardless of product. Keep up the good work!
How is this for console gaming? PS4 pro?
Great review, really temped to go the extra mile pricewise. Other reviews talk alot about a black screen flicker problem - any comments?
What monitor is better than this in 2020 at similar/better specs at same price range ?
I'm curious, what monitor do you use?
*The screen is MATTE COATED! (not "mate coded" like I wrote - typing mistake)
The hotkey works until the computer is restarted. When rebooted, the port settings and image in Display Pilot are unchecked! anyone got the same ?
8:06 I see bright horizontal strip on the PD3200U. The bright strip passes through the upper part of the black disk "Get in touch." Is this an artifact of your camera shot, or it is noticeable when the monitor is seen in person?
When is the rec709 option used?
Is it a true 10 bit, or 8 bit + FRC? Is it possible to test it?
DO NOT purchase BenQ! One of my PD2700U's (I purchased 3) died after 30 days and BenQ won’t cover it...Absolutely terrible customer service!
Annoying voice
What will be the alternative, f.e. if you want to put some more money on the table, that cost pretty much more than this, so, which monitor will be than for you?
i am thinking of buying this monitor. I have no color accuracy needs. I will use it for software development and no gaming. My main reason for buying a 32 inch is the comfort to eyes from being able to see the screen from about a meter away. I like the KVM feature. Have you used it yourself ? how long is the delay in the switching of keyboard and mouse from one computer to another ?
Does desktop partition work even when the app, for e.g. youtube is put into full screen mode ?
Is the uniformity good in low blue light mode? My PD2700U has very good uniformity in sRGB mode, but not good in low blue light mode.
Hi Memanja!

what are dimensions when it is “compressed” maximum on a stand? I like it but my space(in a height) is limited to 48-49cm..can it be fit there? tnx
That wallpaper is from Mikel Gustafson (sorry for spelling mistake)... this guy’s work is dope
Hi, I noticed when you were going thru the settings 3:36 time code, the saturation is inexcessibile, not letting you change hue & saturation... My Benq arrived somedays ago & frekn annoying it wont let me lower saturation as its currently slightly too high... If you can let me know how to get past that poo so I can have the freedom to have control. Support are too slow, live support are stupid... If no one helps me I'll have to return it to Amazon, annoying as its just a tiny lowering of saturation, for dam sake
How is this monitor holding up after 2 years? I just ordered this one today. After researching SO DAMN MANY monitors for 2 weeks, I went with this one.
that really helped man
thank you
Do not care. All reviewers talk content creation or games. A lot of people do no fit either!
Good Review and good monitor I just have one question, the monitor is laptop compatible, oh is it for desktop PC only ???
What about IPS glow? Is it acceptable on this monitor? And bleeding? I know it can be a lottery, but still curious if you got a lucky ticket. :)
thanks for the review. Might want to work on your "um's and uh's"
Is it ok for gaming other than high end competitive gamers?
What about usb-c?
Thank you!! I just ordered one. :)
cool, not many reviews use the excel row break comparison,
HI! How many space from the wall we need ? so what the depth with the stand? thanks
how about backlight ? I have tried EW277HDR but I'm disapointed by too cool (bluish) LED light, which can't be corrected. I prefer warmer backlight (which gives better colors and is more pleasant).
dose it have any Screen blur? :/
I have VA Monitor , it had Screen blur......it is also benq's...
is it 144hz? and also can u adjust the screen height? like vertically downwards or upwards
Hey friend
does the 2k resolution and this size mean that there is any need for upscaling in order for text to be readable? I really don't want to buy a monitor only to find that I need to go into the windows settings to upscale it to be properly readable for my declining eyes.
thanks
Is this also suited for gaming? It’s 76hz right? And only 4ms
Thanks for the review. I had the same problem trying to find something about this monitor, maybe because it is so new but apparently it is old
The 3200PT is the same monitor according to BenQ with some cosmetic changes.
However I am waiting for mine to arrive just bought it on 'speck" so to speak.
As I am not a Youtube literate I probably will come back here and post my impressions for you to dig out.
I have a 27 inch samsung 750.......my reason for change was the lousy calibration using the Datacolor Spyder 5.
What I thought was ok buy another 27inch up market and then see what happens with the calibration but then i saw this for roughly the same price I was prepared to pay for the 4K.
Next was the controls, I needed those controls to tell datacolor once and for all that their Spyder 5 was a piece of junk.
Anyway probably Wednesday of this week I will have it in my hands and will tell what i find.
Thanks once again
THX
thanks for your video. Just bought one myself - looks great for productivity - at a decent price also.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahaa
