My friend bought a 300$ 165hz monitor when his laptop can ouput only 60hz. My laptop can ouput only 60hz too so this is the monitor I'm gonna buy.
Would buying this monitor be a waste of money for non-gamers? I do lots of reading online and watch movies. My eyes are pretty sensitive too. I also teach online. so a lot of zoom meetings.

This monitor is not LED, but it's advertised as LED. The 75hz refresh rate is totally useless as it reduces the resolution and you can see vertical grid lines.

I've had a BenQ for 4 years now. I got it for the low blue light filter due to my light sensitivity. I like that this new one I am getting is IPS and has a better refresh rate for the price.

Would really appreciate some help on the below point: 1) Color clarity and 'pop'.considering that its a matte finish. 2) Text/icon this monitor is used with a Nvidia card.(GTX 1070Ti) (I have heard that there is a blurriness when you pair a freesynch monitor with a Nvidia card.) 3) Is the extra 70 dollars (in my country) for this vs the GW2780 worth it for the HDRi? 4) Is the Picture/Video quality comparable between EW2780 vs GW2780? 5) If we keep the HDRi aside for a minute, is the GW2780 same as EW2780 for picture/video clarity?

I can considering a good quality PC monitor to replace my dying Samsung LCD 32 inch TV that I bought almost 10 years ago. But since the purpose of my usage is mostly as a TV, can I connect an external speaker like 2.1ch on its headphone jack for better audio Currently my TV is connected to DTH set top box using HDMI. I wanted to know if I connect my DTH set top box through HDMI will I able to get audio out from this monitor 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting to an external amplified speaker system. Please help.
