Does anyone know the CFM/dBA of the fan in this unit? I know it's a 5V, 80x80x10mm, 11-blade fan. Not sure of the make/model.
i would say if you dont have to use it take it back.there needs to be a recall on these cooling pads

the design of this is not great at blades are too close to the bottom "grill-like" works great for the first month or two and then because of the direction the blades spin they are forced down and begin hitting the in turn ruins the fan's motor.eventually it is forced so far down that it cannot spin at a piece of junk for 20 the buzzing sound is the fan hitting the bottom protector

I find desktops useless now(unless you are like a heavy gamer and dont want to spend big bucks on a gaming laptop). I have not bought a desktop since 2000, just notebooks;can take it anywhere really convenient.

don't buy one. they're not worth it. if you buy a good laptop anyways, if it heats up its becaue your blocking the fan so it could be because of a pillow or because of your leg, so just clear the fan away. and the Heat is actually a good thing believe it or not. and it makes your laptop bulky as hell, reduces the portability etc etc. best advice, use your laptop on a desk and raise the back to let better ventilation, and lower your battery setting to power saver.
So this cooling pad is absolutely useless for ul30vt.:) fuck Ive just bought one(not this one), and theres no difference at all.

cooling pad idea never go out of the box why there is no cooling pad with heat sink which not using any fan base

This works extremely well on my dell e6420 with an i7 quad. The intake is right where this fan blows into, and while playing games it drops it an average of 6-7 degrees before new thermal paste, and 12-15 with some IC Diamond So the product works, this is just the worst use case of it.
I've had several of these laptop cooling pads by Belkin, and there are a couple of advantages and drawbacks.   It is relatively inexpensive, and it has an Airflow Wing that allows more air to flow. However, for the long-term use the gauge of the wiring used on the USB cable is really below that required for a cable that is required for movement while electricity is flowing through the conduit.  I have had to replace the wiring several times.  Second, a second fan would be better to cool the entire bottom of the laptop at the source of the CPU, and the fan is very noisy despite there being only one fan.  Although I clean the fan and the tunnel regularly to reduce the noise, between the flimsy wiring and the noisy fan it could have been made better for a few more dollars. Cooling from one fan is not sufficient to keep the laptop cool enough. Bottom line. increase the gauge of the wiring and add a second fan.
every laptop has their own cooling system so its nothing  like anything. i mean we never gonna need this type of product
what if i told you. any cooling pad is Worst. nothing helping you cooling only 2 - 4%. it's better DIY Cooling liquid pad

dude dont worry thats ok temperatures not too hot my lenovo y510p is average of 50 not in use then playing gets to 90 sometimes mostly on high 80's but never over 90

this is useless mate, look at ur laptop back vent has covered with the cooling pad itself.
I have this cooler for about a year not really that good compared to other for the money i got it, its not worth it (23eu).
One problem bro, even at 75 deg for a CPU temp that's high. CPU should reach max temp of 60 deg, beyond that expect system failure in the near future. And I'm pretty sure your GPU's temp is through the roof too which will start cause cracks in the soldering of the chip. Take heed from what I just told you, I have had my fair share of system failures because of poor heatsink or other temp related issue.
Instead of plugging it into your laptop, couldn't you just use a wall adapter. You might increase the fan performance by not using the laptop USB port. Thanks for the review.
