You said that you couldn't find the specs for this mic, including frequency response. I'd like to recommend a website that has the specs(50Hz to 15kHz). That being bhphotovideo.com. This isn't an add or anything like that, I just want you to have another source to find information from. Though they typically don't carry budget equipment it's worth mentioning.

Is it only me or there is a lot of these "poping" sounds from letters P B etc? Should we use it with a pop filter?
XM8500 has way too much plosives!!!! My ear drums feel like they were in a boxing match!!!!

So you want to tell me I can buy 5 xm800s for the price of sm58? I'm taking the entire stock!!! I actually own one and can tell that it's really good even not considering the price. Just hook it up to a normal audio interface such as behringer umc22 or something better from steinberg or focusrite and it will sound very good

I bought this mic and a friend lent me a Roland UA-25 EX audio interface for me to use it. I'm singing really close to it, relatively loudly, and it still gets only -15dB when peaking. It's far from the desirable -6dB. If I sing from a couple of feet away, nothing gets captured at all. Everything on Windows is already at maximum. I turned up the gain on the interface, but the only result was a lot of noise. Does anyone know how to fix that? My gain is nowhere near to what's on the video, there must be something wrong here, I just have no idea what.
maybe another look at this?
Sounds like the $80 price difference doesn't even make the SM58 worth it considering how subtle the differences are.

I think this is the best setup XM8500 and USB XLR cable, because its very cheap and you wouldn't be able to hear that MECHANICAL KEYBORD WITH BLUE SWITCHES

Hello, i picked up this mic and my friends say it sounds too bassy and my voice sounds too studio. Like its enough that its unpleasant apparently Lol. Could you please show me how you set it up? I'm using voicemeeter banana atm I have my UR12 audio interface at 100% and gain at 90% because i keep the mic like 8 inches away. Where can i get presets and stuff?

I used it. It's good but the sound are so quiet and i have to crank up to 95% gain to be audible at 10cm or else i have to be in "kiss the microphone" distance
