I get full coverage with mine just fine. You have to moisturize enough & make sure you buff it the right way. I don't get nearly as many break outs on my face w/mineral powders like I do with all that liquid crap full of silicones.
I use a large kabuki stippling brush to buff on my dry skin and it works brilliantly to deposit the product evenly without looking cakey and dry. All I have on underneath is moisturizer- no primer needed imo. Then I put cream or liquid products on top and it always gives the most beautiful natural but full coverage look (I didn't think it was possible but it does).
PLEASE help me! :-) i finally found a color that matches me and i can t seem to make this original powder work.. i 'buff' it in but i always get spots where the product is GONE because of the buffing so it kinda looks like i have patches or scuffs' where there is no powder... i can t seem to get this even.. i tried it over my Skinnies spf and i tried it over my Ordinary moisturiser.. nothing seems to make it blend in.. ANY help?? thank you ;-)
Love your eyeshadow. What are you wearing?
I think you’re wearing the wrong shade, honestly. Maybe more of a medium shade. Much love.
I feel like all the buffing needed for application, can’t be good for dry skin.
Sorry I’m late on this, but I think I can get BM to be medium to full if I spend a ton of time blending (aka special occasions). My skin looks terrible but BM is probably the best overall foundation for me. Not sure what my skin type is though. Anyway thanks for the review, love your channel
I actually think this looks really pretty on you
Okay, it seriously looks like there’s zero coverage. Pass.
I have been wearing bareMinerals original foundation for over 20 years. Are use only original products except for my concealer. My recommendation is anything that you’re going to conceal with the liquid concealer do it last because powder products tend to want to grab onto that also if you have dry skin make sure you moisturize and prime before I have oily so I just use moisturizer that’s late and make sure it’s dry before I apply my foundation my recommendation is anything that you’re going to conceal with a liquid concealer do it last because powder products tend to want to grab onto that. If you have dry skin make sure you moisturize and prime before . I have oily so I just use moisturizer that’s light and make sure it’s dry before I apply my foundation . I use an It kabuki brush to apply my foundation it seems to give me more even coverage ,but the one that you’re using I do use that if I feel like I need more coverage. I know that Shelby has a channel where she shows it more full coverage but I like light coverage foundation so you might check her out and she can show you how best to get a more full coverage look😊
This foundation is PHENOMENAL if applied correctly! The more you buff the prettier it is. After your natural oils mix its even prettier. I've been using BM since it was available. I use IT foundation as well as to face born this way. I rotate depending on needs for the day. BM is my go to favorite
You dont have any blemishes so what did you expect it to do?
I use this foundation with Sigma F82 Round kabuki brush. Works way better for me than with Bareminerals brushes.
That's a new brush and received HORRIBLE reviews; there's a fluffier original brush that nice, sheds a bit, but good!
Not only you didn’t applied it correctly, from the beginning, but you buff twice on the jawline only, not on the entire face,, so that you avoided to buff the nose and under the eyes area.
I thought that the brush you are using was for their liquid foundation.
I don’t think anybody is using it as their only sunscreen.
You don’t need to apply concealer first! I wear and love this foundation! You can definitely get very full coverage IF you apply it correctly. I find concealer and cream products melt into the skin lovely over the top.
I use mineral foundations a few years already and they work for me with kabuki brush or flat top. This brush from bare minerals is way to soft and gives no coverage. I ordered it and had to send it back.
Is this good for oily skin?
Your makeups beautiful and so is your natural skin!
Sadly this foundation is for the young. Im 46 and have fine lines, oh dear, that foundation got right in the lines and made them look so deep.. 🙄
This foundation is one of the only few that doesn’t make me break out more either. In fact I swear it actually gets rid of some of my acne ..
Does this cover acne if you put a green color corrector under it?
This is my go to long wear full coverage foundation. I even figured out how to make it my everyday wear base by mixing it with the Mac strobe cream. Omg, still long lasting but glowy and light. Such a versatile product. And like you said, swiping it on the skin is better so even applying by fingers works quite well if you’re in a hurry.
Could you do a tutorial with this foundation with step by step? I'm curious if you do concealer before or after you set your face with the barepro powder. Thanks!!
Love this foundation! Thank you!
Hello, I'm in colour medium beige in Original Foundation. What colour would match me best in BAREPRO Foundation and Complexion Rescue? thank you
i wear it all the time the only thing that’s annyoing is it comes over a lot around my nose and chin but everywhere else it stays on great
I’m new to bare minerals and just started using the bare pro powder foundation but feel like i need more coverage. I’m just so used to foundation, then powder especially on going out days and have been contemplating the foundation- Thank you for this review! Definitely going to try it!
Would have been nice if the reviewer showed the product pumped out, applied on the hand in real time so that the viewer could see pigment, texture, consistency, coverage - this review is LACKING.
Legit that was the PERFECT shade for you. It’s seamless with your neck and chest.
Since you put the barepro powder to set your face, what brush do you use for that?
Hi! I have been using this foundation and like it. I spilled some by mistake in my make-up draw and i missed wiping off a large drop that spilled on the carton. I tried to clean it off the next day and it won't budge. I was very surprised- and now I wonder if this product would let my skin breathe. Is this a silicon based product? Welcome your thoughts on this. Thx.
Your bare face is so gorgeous
Can you just use your fingers to apply ?
what lipstick are you wearing, love the colour
I watched this video getting ready for work this morning. I bought this foundation at Ulta while Bare Minerals foundations were on sale for $19. It wasn't my first choice because I would have preferred the tinted moisturizer and they didn't have my shade. Okay long story short, I found the foundation brush on clearance for $4 at Marshall's! I've had this foundation sitting around for weeks, but once I got the brush I couldn't wait to try it on and it looks good. Won't be able to give it a proper wear test for another few days, but this was a really exciting occurrence.
Can I ask you what color did you order for your liquid and what did you order for you powder pallet? Your skin looks similar to mine! Thanks beautiful!
I have eczema and dry patches.. it was also clinging to those areas.
Too much intro, almost 3 minutes before we get to the foundation, still love your content though
Have you tried the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better?
I got this to try and review before it dropped and it worked really well on me! I have combo skin
What is your favorite concealer? I’m a bare minerals fan and have been for years. I’ve been dealing with sebhoreic dermatitis for the past few years as well which has made applying and wearing makeup harder not only with the redness but flaking. Any suggestions?
Do you use a video tool that blurs you face and make up?
I always come to your videos for foundation reviews because we have almost the same skin type, same skin tone and coverage preferences! I have only used this once and I actually kind of liked it? Would love to hear an update on this later down the road to see if your opinion changes
The maskne is real 😧
I really want to try some BareMinerals products, unfortunately they don’t available in my country.
I don't think I've ever seen anything that doesn't look good on you!
I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of BareMinerals. I have their "BarePro" Liquid Foundation and it melts off my face after a couple of hours. It's basically a hot mess.
From other reviews I've read this new foundation has shade issues and longevity issues.
It's absolutely rubbish for dry skin but you look beautiful
does anyone know where they get their squalene for this foundation? I'd hate to find out they use shark in it :/
Great review!! Ive been getting maskne too. I find the korean acne patches help a lot- oh k! Sos acne patches. Theyre nearly invisible so i wear it during the day under my mask.
Allie? If you are using cloth masks? Wear once and wash before wearing them again. Seriously, it will help with the acne.
Hey Allie, how about a nail tutorial 🥰?
I was very disappointed too! I got my hopes up about this one and it was not that smooth on my face and I hydrate very well with my dry skin. It is patchy.
Allie, do you ever find that certain make-ups help or hurt your skin, acne-wise?
It looks like you didn't list eyeshadow, did you just use the bronzer/blush trick for your eyes? :)
Oh nooo! I was seriously thinking about picking this one up. Maybe not.😩
Big time oxidation!!! Not sure about this one.
I was excited to find your review. I just received this yesterday in the mail and have been playing with it. Jessica said not to use a silicone primer with it. She should have added that not even skin care with silicone can be used with this foundation. It lays down terrible and streaky. Silicone free everything might be the way to go with this foundation.
Thank you for your review. I ordered the 12 and 15. I haven’t received it yet... usps takes foooorrreeevvvveeerrrrrr!!!
But it looks the 15 will be a good match for me. I have oily skin and curious if I will like it.
Well Poo. I ordered this and should be receiving it today. Thank you for your honest review 💗
For anyone needing the ingredients, here they are:
Active Ingredients: titanium dioxide 2.49% ･･･ sunscreen
Inactive Ingredients: water, ethylhexyl olivate, amylopectin, polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, propanediol, dipeptide-15, squalane, sea salt, disteardimonium hectorite, opuntia ficus-indica stem extract, glycerin, lauroyl lysine, magnesium stearate, aluminum hydroxide, stearic acid, hydroxyethylcellulose, trisodium edta, phenoxyethanol. may contain: titanium dioxide, iron oxides.
Oh man. I bought this with the intent that I would mix it with BM Barepro liquid foundation. That one is just a little too dry for me (also not full coverage to me) and I figured this product would be too dewy, so they might make a good match. But wow, I picked shade 12 and when you swatched it, I cringed. Should have gone with 15. 😕
Yes love your review always an honest opinion 😘💕
Thanks for the update. I think this is going to be a pass for me.
I really want to try the believe beauty foundation but the nearest dollar general is a half hour away and I don't even know if they carry it :P
I tried the BM original powder foundation. It was beautiful until my natural oil came through & then it looked horrendous. Suddenly, you could see every pore on my face & normally I can see none. I’d say it seems to be for dry complexions only.
The foundation just doesn’t wow me in any way. Even though I have dry skin, I just don’t like that overly dewy, bordering on shiny look that this foundation gives. For me, I just feel like BM could have done a better job formulating this product. Overall, it definitely is a pass for me. I still do own and like certain things from BM, honestly for me the company hadn’t been the same ever since Leslie Blodgett left.
