from that moment the speaker is seriously damaged inside
it feels like something has broke maybe the membrane of the woofer?
i dont know , now i just try to repair it ,lets hope

If you put the weight in there put it correctly...is 0.6 not .6 kg and that's 600 grams....

Hey Jim. Make sure that speaker is from best buy or says shipped and sold from Amazon there are a ton of fakes out there. That could be your problem as far as the heat goes
i'm getting like 3h, but the sound is good.what's really annoying is that when the battery is flat and you put it to charge it takes ages before you can put it back to max volume
It must charge fully before use? I have one, it seems can't not plan while charging ?
Just bought it, and the bass isn't that good. It sound like it scratches when i turn on the volume. Don't know if mine is defect or anybody else has that problem.

This speaker is for those who value aesthetics and the notion of a premium brand over actual performance. I had an opportunity (I use that term loosely) to listen to these a while ago and was VERY unimpressed. A few obvious problems make this speaker not worthy of their price. Frankly, these wouldn’t be very compelling at ½ their asking price. This speaker is a HARD PASS.
I was using a Fugoo Tough XL, which is a much larger speaker. Obviously, that sounded much better but that’s not a fair comparison. But I had the Fugoo Tough (non-XL) and that was also much better. It was was louder, had tighter and deeper bass, and better highs (faster transient response). The battery life was also much better. I also compared it to the Sony SRS-XB33 and that speaker was also much better in most respects except the high-end clarity. Finally, when compared to the Anker Soundcore Motion+, there is no comparison. The Anker has better low-end response, high end response, volume, battery life, etc. And it’s ~1/3rd of the price.
-Limited bass: Having listened to the previous pair, first thing I noticed was the bass was less substantial. This is also very noticeable at higher volumes where the treble overpowers the bass. The amount of bass and bass extension was reduced
-Lower volume: To save on battery life, they reduced the volume. It doesn’t get very loud. For example, if you place a speaker outside the shower when taking a shower, this won’t work for those purposes.
-NOT omnidirectional: This has ONE tweeter. Therefore, though it is round, the tweeter is at one end and therefore the sound changes depending on your position relative to the speaker. They should have had at least two tweeters. You can get away with one bass driver but you need two tweeters. Running high end in mono sounds weird.
Not sure he has done full test review of this - its been so many months!

This is a bluetooth speaker. Losing a 3.5mm jack to gain an ip67 rating is a no-brainer. I can't understand anyone being conflicted about that considering the intended use case.

I have 2 A1s 1st generation. If you pair them up in stereo, you get a small form factor portable battery powered hifi. There are louder, more rugged and cheaper speakers out there, but regarding sound quality, especially 2 in stereo, i havent heard anything quite like these.

Great sounding speaker but if you drop it on it’s side it will shear off 2-3 speaker posts inside, then the speaker will sound terrible with heavy bass. How do I know this? I bought a second hand one, set it all up and I wasn’t impressed with the sound, sounded a bit like a cheap speaker with tears in it!! Noticed a small dent on the edge of the speaker grill so decided to take it apart. 3 of the 5 posts that hold the speaker to the base of the unit were sheared off causing the speaker to vibrate the body, not nice at all. Used epoxy resin to glue the posts back into place, once dry rebuilt the speaker, I also cut up some sponge and forced it into the recessed screw holes then covered them with gaffer tape, speaker sounds awesome now as it should, I wouldn’t say the build quality is that good as I said, the slightest bang on the edge of the unit will break it. If yours is sounding crap especially with bass, the posts will be broken.

Looking for a portable speaker to relace my jbl clip when cycling. I intend to put in the back pocket of my jersey so my mates can hear the music. Noticed that the clip's sound is not too loud to be heard all the way to the back. Would this be a better option? Or could you recommend an alternative with the same flat-ish build?
