Anyone know for what is the input hdmi in 6 ? Because for me passthrough not work without turning on the receiver.First I need to enable the receiver and turn it off later all works as it should.

Nice review, Did you not get the speakers with your unit? They look cheap and small but sound amazing. I replaced only my sub with a Velodyne or however its pronounced but it sounds amazing your setup looks clean I hope you get great enjoyment out of it!
A year after making this video, my Onkyo is still going strong. I have only 2 minor issues with the remote control: 1) When you change the volume settings of Zone 2 with remote control, the value is not visible on the receiver's display. I don't know how loud the volume is in the second zone unless I press the Zone 2 button on the receiver itself 2) Remote control's on/off switch for the second zone should be a separate button independent of the main zone's switch. This will make switching on/off the zones easier and more intuitive. (If I hit the main switch off button, I don't know whether it will switch off the main zone or the second zone) I wish these issues would be solved by software upgrade somehow. Nevertheless, it is a great product and I highlyrecommend this receiver. 2016 November update: 3 years after purchase, my Onkyo is still working great! 2018 January update: 4.5 years passed, I bought ELAC speakers for her, she is still in top form :)

I have this model. New puppy chewed thru speaker wire. Not realizing this, I powered it up. It powered down after a couple seconds. Repeat a few times until a heard a loud pop. Is this behind repair?

Excellent! There are very few videos of hi-fi power tests. On the other hand, there are plenty of Car Audio tests.Keep doing tests like this, hopefully and test equipment Yamaha, Harman Cardon, Marantz, Denon, etcetera.
Wow. I watched the newer Onkyo receiver dyno video before this this one so my hopes weren't very high. Since its much bigger and heavier but Im impressed. These little guys get down. Im using a 646 with my favorite early 2000's Klipsch reference setup and it sounds fantastic.
The only thing about this is doing these tests in 2 channel. I know the dyno will only test 2 channel but these amps drop power output if your driving all 7 channels. Would be nice to know how much.
This was built after the Onkyo and Pioneer merger I think. Great results!

Can you do tests on some out of the box sets and PC speakers wloud be interesting to see how accurate power rating is on them .
Put em up. Yes more HT and home stereo. Also test the rear channels if you can.
Really curious to see some more pro audio amps test. The last one I remember seeing yielded disappinting results for a Behringer nuke series amp. Wondering if their other amps stack up the same or if they are better. The NX series is another budget line from them.
at what THD levels? saw 0.7 at one point and those clip lights going crazy pretty overblown #s
Onkyo is pretty good stuff, I believe better than their competition.
