I have this bike, and it is almost the same and the GEN 1, that I also had, and it is a good solid helmet. Love the 3.4 style for ridding during this summer days in my city and on the scooter, a good match.Sometimes I take the shield off and put on googles MX and they fit very good. I would like to buy a dar smoke internal shield for better sunlight cover. I have added a dark smoke shield and leave the other one for night ridding.So when the times comes, I would buy a 3rd helmet.
Is this color the same as the silver in the fg jet?

I have a question. I have the original IS-33 currently and the speaker cutouts fit a Harley Boom wired headset nicely. Can you tell me if the speaker cutouts on the IS-33 II are the same size as those on the original? I was thinking of buying the IS-33 II for my wife but want to make sure the headset will fit. She has an IS-MAX II but there may be times when she wants to ride with a 3/4 helmet. On the IS-MAX II, I had to cut away a bit of the styrofoam to make the speakers fit. As I said, they fit fine on my IS-33 so just wondering if the cutouts are the same size on the IS-33 II. Thanks!
I have the first IS33 and I recall it had a tendency to run big. Just wondering if this one had same issue or if it's spot on. My measurements is 58cm. Wondering do I go for LG OR XLG.

Hi guys!I've been wearing an IS-33 for about 3 years now (size XL), and I found that I had to sand away a little of the EPS at the forehead because the shape of the helmet put a strong pressure point right above my eyebrows. Once I did a little bit of "custom fitting", the helmet feels fine.It's about time to buy another helmet. I see that the IS-33 II is now considered an "intermediate oval" head shape. Do you think that an XL is still an appropriate size, or do I need to look at a Large because of the change in shell shape?
I bought a white IS-33 II last month. I also have an IS-33. The II fit me much better from the get-go. I felt some pressure on my forehead and at the back of my head with the IS-33 when it was new although it has broken in nicely since and I find it very comfortable now. I got along with the II from the moment I first put it on. It seems to sit really well on my head I guess that means I'm an intermediate oval also. The IS-33 seems to sit a little higher. The II gives more protection from the elements. The face shield extends much lower. The cheek pads extend much further forward. It feels a little bit like a full face helmet. No pain whatsoever on my forehead or at the back of my head. The top vent does provide more airflow. You can really feel the difference when you're running at speed. The rear vents also seem to work very well. I love this helmet and I'm glad I decided to get one even though I already had my IS-33 at the time. My only nitpick with my IS-33 II is the strap on the left side of the helmet. It's a bit too short in my opinion. That's the part where the ratchet attaches. I had difficulty putting this helmet on because I couldn't grip the left side strap enough.I wish they had made it about at least an inch longer. Other than that, no gripes. Love this helmet and I highly recommended this to anyone looking for an excellent value three quarter helmet. Love the shape too.

I ride a honda vtx w/windshield. I don't get much air through the helmet. Riding position or is the windshield the problem?
Hey guys, I notice in the review for the previous iteration of this helmet, the HJC IS-33, that it tended to fit a "neutral to round" head shape whereas this newer version is more of an "intermediate oval".Can you just confirm that this is correct and whether the difference is pronounced?Also, would you say that the HTC FG-Jet is closer in shape to this IS-33 II rather than the previous model?Thanks.

This is one helmet that needs to be broken-in first before it can be 'judged'. I used mine on a mountain road ride when it was new and I felt quite a lot of pressure on my forehead and also at the back of my head. I couldn't wait to take it off. Since then, it has broken in quite nicely and I really love using my IS-33 now. A lot of airflow from under the faceshield which is very good considering it gets very hot where I live. It sits very nicely on my head now and the vents are also quite good. It also feels light. I really like the shape and styling of this helmet although the IS-33 II looks sleeker. What else is there to say? If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive three-quarter helmet, give this one a try. You just might love it.
I have this helmet for a over month now and it's very comfortable, visor helps w wind noise reduction over 50 mph. Downside: when it rain you need to put your head in an angle looking down to prevent water on your chin, visor spring is clunky and loud and internal visor is plastic and distorts viewing a bit and I don't think is UV treated. I would extra for a polarize option. - Ivan
I have owned one of these for almost 4 years and am buying a new one. I do not like how sweaty the old one feels these days but this is a great helmet if it fits the shape of your head.
I have this helmet, produced for Harley Davidson with their logo on it. I love this helmet. The visor is great, so I don't have to wear sunglasses with it. There is a lot of room for ear buds and is very comfortable.

I have this helmet and it is my first and only. Do you have any tips on how to prevent the bottom half of the visor from fogging up in the winter?

I bought this helmet last summer. It's not a bad helmet but' it's nothing great. I have a Honda Stateline with a shield and Samson pipes. This Helmet really seems to amplify the exhaust note and is loud, more so than the half shell I wear. The sun visor isn't dark enough so I find myself wearing sunglasses instead. I'm really liking the Shoei J cruise and may purchase that. when it becomes available. I will order it from Revzilla. You guys make awesome, informative product videos!!

I purchased this helmet for my husband a few years ago for Christmas and he loves it. He rides a Suzuki V-Strom 650. He uses his bike as his main transportation in the spring summer and fall even making his sales calls for work. He didn't want a helmet that was too flashy, but one that offered a sunscrren so he wouldn't have to switch glasses all the time. The sun visor works great and is easy to operate while riding and the helmet is lightweight enough not to make his neck/back sore.

I currently have six helmets and this is far and away my favorite. Very comfortable and I love cruising in it. You can really feel the vents going to work. The drop-down internal sunvisor is at the right distance and coverage is perfect. Faceshield reaches to the lower part of my chin.
A good summer helmet, but visor is too short for all-year use.
