These are excellent mics as I own 5 of them. Use 3 to mic my drums with, one to use with acoustic, electric or bass guitars and another I just picked up a few weeks ago for doing instructional videos. The sound I get from using 3 of these mics on a big drum kit is amazing and rivals a full drum mic setup using 5 or more dynamics and two overhead condensers. The vocal quality is outstanding although they are very sensitive so if using for podcasting or any type of voice over, a quiet room is a must and so is a pop filter. By far the best $100 mic out there and if not looking at wave patterns on a monitor, the sound is just as good as mics costing hundreds more. In fact, I like the sound of these more so than some condensers that sell for $500+.
👉I had the AT-2020 and the AKG p120. l like the AKG P120 more because it just sounds better and it works for my voice the AT2020 felt a little cheaper and the vocals weren't as good as the AKG p120 to me.The thing about the AT-2020 is it's good at blocking out background noises unlike the AKG p120 but their are ways around that. Also The AT-2020 has a flat frequency response till the high end which is weird to me and the AKG has a cut off on the low and a little bit of bounce to it also going up at the high end. (So yeah I sold my AT-2020.) (Just some helpful advice)

i was awfully confused the first time I got my mic (AT2020). it was awfully quiet until I got this software called Voicemeeter. I've seen some people with the same thing their mic is really quiet until they launch a special program which makes it louder without sacrificing audio quality. seen some people use another program called Pod Farm

The EV RE-20, Shure SM7B, and the Sennheiser MD 421 have been used for decades and are broadcast standards. Age is not a factor with a great mic. The AT-2020 is also on that list.

This microphone sounds absolutely insane regarding its properties. Just ordered it, can't wait to test it !
actually for this quality mic it is worth 200. at 99 ... it is already priced as a sale.. and the USB mic has to be more spendy because of its USB capability.. that adds a premium... so while we're used to this being a 99 dollar price point mic.. its really worth more and 200 seems fair for the USB version in lieu. Any more and then thats spendy. but 200 with USB seems to me fair because of the ultimate audio quality this mic gives... not to mention a quality built microphone should last WELL over 10 years. My At2020 is a 2005 purchase. I see them used on guitar center all the time for 60 bucks. No one should be buying a new mic if the price is that huge. A used USB .. may be worth its purchase too. Places like GC test their used gear before they even sell it.
man the best legendary mics in the industry are the classics from the 60s and 70s...12 grand neumanns etc etc...things DONT NEED to be fresh new.

Not trying to gives this microphone a bad rep, yes for a beginners microphone it’s really good but over time you’ll soon start to ear you want something better but overall it’s a good microphone

*Wow!! Yes, it is an inexpensive **mic.do7.pl/ATMic** And it has no cable or stand. But hopefully you are replacing a mic that is not doing what you want so you have all the stuff needed to use it. This was my case. The difference was huge!! What was the mic that was replaced? An AKG C414B!!! I will answer the question that I am sure you are asking yourself. No, I am not crazy. It all comes down to what the mic does for your voice. The 414 basically brought out all of my worst vocal elements. I sounded nasal, brittle and grinding. I would eq like crazy and eventually come up with a vocal take that was acceptable but it never sounded very good. I threw up the AT2020 and suddenly I had depth,clarity and warmth. This was a lesson to me. I don't want reality on my vocals. I want equipment that flatters my voice and not something that actually brings out my worst features.I realize I probably can't stack a lot of instruments and vocals using the 2020 on a track and expect clarity. I would guess that if I tracked 5 vocals right on top of each other I would get a little mud. So I used my 414 for background vocals for clarity. It creates a nice change of tone. But my warm, gooey lead vocal was what I have always wanted. I am truly a very, very very happy camper right now. It turns out I am not a completely terrible singer when I use the right gear.*

How do you feel about this mic vs the AKG P220? Only thinking about going with the P220 when I hit up the store today or tomorrow because it’s only $150 and comes with a shock mount and a little sturdier of a case vs that clip on thing that I don’t think I would have much faith in to hold on to what I want to be a long lasting vocal/brass/woodwind mic. I do feel like the AT2020 has a more natural sound as well but the AKG sounds super clean as well. Opinion please?

I am a singer and bought this mic months ago but no one is telling me how to use it? Sweetwater don't know nothin'! Can you help me? What app. do I need to download? I tried garage band but there's no download on play store. I connected it to my computer but when I sing there's a delay with the mic and youtube karaoke is on my t.v but it doesn't sync right, hard to explain. and the mic seems to go slow. It's of. My AT2020 just came in today and I finished setting it up on obs with filters and it sounds so clean! I've had the Blue Snowball iCE for 4 years now and switching to an XLR mic was the best decision I've made. I can't hear my fan running in the background and my videos and streams will be so much better
