Hi. tell me, would 2x 4Gb ddr4 work on a x99 ? or is it absolutly necessary to put 4 dimms ?
I have the 5820 Intel chip and this motherboard. on page 2-11 of the user guide its an confusing sentence. Which m.2 card will work with the 5820 chip? The sentence in the manual reads. "For a higher performance, do not install the HYPER.2 x4 is when using a 28-LANE CPU." Does that mean use the HYPER M.2 x4 with this chip or not?

I have a question. Does the motherboard come with the m.2 card in the box? I saw the expansion and the bracket but not the other thing....the main thing. Am I missing something? 
Can you connect 2 X M.2 (plextor) cards to the X99, 1 in the vertical slot and 1 to the ASUS Hyper M.2 X4 Adapter Card. I have one in the vertical slot, and also have a spare Plextor M.2. the mother board manual states if you do this it would affect performance? I only have 1 GPU in a Pci slot, (Asus 970).

Reviving this old video ;o) This Board is going to be Six Years Old and it still looks badass. Just doing some Upgrades now to my X99 board, adding a PCIE AC2100 AX Card to it to go with .g TP Link AX6000 wifi router. Also just installed a Western Digital Black NVME M.2 SSD Drive and Adding Windows 10. This Board Can Still take a licking and keep on ticketing.

I bought this board and the audio is horrible! It responds like it is terribly under powered! I have tried different drivers, including the drivers that came with the motherboard and it still drops the volume down when it is tasked with bass.. but only problem is, I do not have it up loud! And I have a separate amp on my 5.1 sub. So the mobo only has to output a decent low watt signal. but it is still insufficient to keep the volume at a constant level throughout the song. I HATE THAT! When the bass takes a pause in the song, the high frequencies like vocal and treble get much louder! Just like an under powered audio system! Can you believe I have to consider buying a sound card? Also, The REAR Speakers DO NOT WORK. haha Absolutely mind boggling ! I will update this post if I find I am in error. But I have already disabled any and every sound effect I can find.

JJ, has ASUS quit supporting this MB? I have a deluxe and it won't auto configure with 64gb of Corsair Dominator Platinum 2666mhz RAM??? It's starting to drive me bonkers. I've played with voltages to get it to recognize and after a while it still drops to 48 gb. For the amount of money I have spent on this "Cadillac" board, it seems like your team would get one of the best memory makers's 64gb packages working on it. I'm all ears if you can help me with manual configuration settings. Odd that my DDR 4 has been verified on the Z170 platforms. I love ASUS, I've used their MB for the last 15 yrs. I went all out on my most recent build. 5930K, ASUS X99 Deluxe, 64gb Corsair Dominator Platinum, 512gb Samsung 950 Pro (NVME/M.2), ASUS Strix GTX 970 OC, Corsair 110i GTX cooler, Air 540 case and Corsair fans. That's a lot of "toy" but I can't seem to get it to stay stable and unable to use ASUS OC features. Thanks!

Please please help, I have an X99 deluxe i7 5820 and i can not install Windows on my Samsung 950 pro nvme. I have the latest bios of 2101 and drivers for the Samsung still nothing. It doesn't recognize the drive...but I see it in the UEFI boot menu. Please I'm going crazy...
I am thinking of buying a Asus X99 DELUXE-U3.1, i have a question about the dual lan ports is it possible to have 2 different internet connections plugged in therefore combining the speed and reliability ? and the antenna will it disperse that internet signal (the two connections) in to one for my laptop can will connect to the antenna and there for gain the speed and reliability ?
According to the illustration in the X-99 User Guide the Memory (RAM) Boards shown in the Video are incorrectly installed. The Video has 4 RAM Boards installed in Slots A2 & B2 on the left and D2 &C2 on the right. In the User Guide it illustrates (for Four Memory Boards) that the Memory Boards should be installed in A1 & B1 on the Left and D1 & C1 on the Right.

after 4 months my pc don't start up.... get 00 error and cpu led on. I send back cpu but i read on a lot of forum that is motherboard bug... I call also Asus but they tell me that 60% is motherboard. If someone had same problem can help me? X99s, i7 5820k ,corsair 16gb, corsair H100i and so on....

I am using Asus X99 Deluxe Series motherboard and find really good I have issue of over clock to increase of strap I could go up to 125 with bios 1801. fro 3D rendering work station is good even for game too. to increase strap 250 I need still need a upgrade bios. Bios 1801 one cannot increase it, it not the problem of motherboard its BIOS

I really want to go with the Deluxe, but I've heard about it failing all the time, causing issues, or some arriving completely dead. Right now, I'm leaning towards the Asus X99 Pro because it's gotten better reviews. Am I wrong about the X99 Deluxe? Correct if I am because I'd really prefer that mobo over all others.
when it comes to overclocking and 24/7 performance, how much of a difference is there between this board and the rampage and the lower end boards like the msi boards, krait - sli pro - raider...? just how much do the more expensive boards help when OC

how good is the audio quality? I see everyone uses mac for audio, and i wonder im into video so i need something like this that can handle a lot of power for video but i also need great quality audio so would this come close to mac in regards to audio??(dont know why but everyone says mac is great for audio) does anyone know?

it`s working great,except for one remaining strange behavior,When starting up from a power off state, the system mysteriously reboots one time after a few minutes. Only one time. After that it runs perfect. You can put it to sleep, wake it up, and it never happens again. Only after starting from a power up. Has anyone else experienced this? Its not terribly bothersome but I would like to know whats causing it
