ASUS PG279Q G-Sync IPS 165hz Review | The PERFECT Monitor?
Its only 4 ms response time tho
Would this monitor pair well with a 3080? Or are there better monitors? I had this monitor 2 years ago with a 1080ti but i forgot what it looks like. I sold it for reasons. So what do you think? Hopefully you respond soon if at all lol
Your channel has grown so much bro, i'm happy for you.
im getting it this december thx for the review
is this monitor still worth at 2020? :)
I’m gettting one for 230😂😈
I got a small blurly vertical line on the left of my panel. It just doesnt go away eventhough i tried to turn on and off. Wonder if anyone ís having the same glitch?
who's still loving this in 2020?
so how is the XG279Q compared to this one ?
So in 2020 is this still worth buying with money not being a problem? I want a 1440p 144hz or more (165hz) 1ms response time. Any recommendations for 2020 just as good or better with similar specs?
Does this monitor have build-in speakers?
I did A LOT of research on a 2K 144 hz IPS panel and nothing came close to this. Yes the price is high, but 4k is just not what I needed (I game FPS and single player games often ie Rainbow Six Siege, CoD MW, etc.)
my budget is 650.00 USD which is what this monitor costs now. Would you still recommend this monitor today?
Really... 20Hz makes that much of a noticeable difference, I doubt I’ll be able to tell that
This is still the best. LOL
It worth it trade me ps4 pro for this monitor I don't use much me ps4 pro anyway
So is this monitor still worth it after after 4 years or are there any better ones.
after 3 years is it still the ultimate gaming monitor
I bought this monitor, but I can only use the HDMI, I don't understand why the display port wont work
@Desertwhale did you have to Calibrate it at all ?
So i just got the rog swift PG279QE and i got find the option for light in motion on the osd. Any idea whats up?
HDMI or display port for Game??
My guy hit puberty😂
Just bought a used monitor for 335 dollars. Im going to hook it up tonight and park my VA Samsung monitor. VERY EXCITE
3:43 is he playing on 60hz accidentally? Because I saw lot of motion blur. Pause and press < and > keys to see it yourself.
How much do it cost
I have been using it for 3 years, solid monitor!
Can anyone tell me the difference between the PG279Q and the PG279QE if there is any difference at all?
Watching this in 2020 I still know I made the right decision, Love this monitor!!! It is my standard for all other things I will buy. But now in 2020 I'm still feeling like a ghost machine in Fortnite, no other games seem like it so I'm just thinking might be the game?.?.?
Can anyone find a review for the xg279q ? I only get this model show up when I search for it
why is his voice so high pitched lmao
4 years later how does this hold up next to newer monitors? I'm looking for a 144hz 1440p monitor but unsure what to go with
Paid 1300 for two after taxes . One statement , so good I’m get another one
Still good today???
How does the backside look, tilt and so on...
is the XG279Q the newest edition of this monitor ?
Whats the best of the best TN panel for playing COD and other multiplayers?
Please, If you know a lot about Monitors I need some help so, please reply! I have a Dell Gaming Monitor S2417DG YNY1D 24-Inch Monitor. I was looking for a better one and I saw: Asus Tuf gaming vg27aq 27 for about $600 and Asus ROG Swift PG279Q 27" for about $800. So some questions. A: Which Asus is better? (Asus Tuf gaming vg27aq 27 for about $600 and Asus ROG Swift PG279Q 27" for about $800). B: Me having a Dell Gaming Monitor S2417DG YNY1D 24-Inch Monitor, is it worth it to buy one of the Asus's Monitors (are there better/more pros worth to pay $600-$800?) C: Is there any other monitor I have not seen that you think is better than the 2 I was talking about? Thanks.
4 years later and it’s still the King. Wow...seriously. Asus is ahead of its time.
stop saying bad words
I have a rtx 3090 and i have this monitor. No intention to sell it. Still the best monitor out there. Make DSR 4x in Nvidia Control Panel and you can game in 5K. This monitor has great colours and no fan in comparison to all these new shitty 4K monitors
Why? What CD did to you that you don't like it and how does it relate to 2020? If you think it should came with a flash drive then yeah it's great. It's for people who temporarily does not have internet access.
Why is it that on a lot of stores I looked it states that this monitor has a 4ms refresh rate, while on reviews I see a 1ms ?
Just bought this monitor used! Awesome monitor! How is your monitor settings? I have not yet figured out what is best
Would this be good for ps5
Price?
Hey don't kill the DVD, I still need that bitch to copy my Japanese anime and movies as a digital backup to use on my devices, bad enough it was hard to find a good custom case to build a PC (thanx Fractal design lol). Good video brother, stay safe during this virus. Got the Asus XG279Q
Thumbs down for the bad language.
Looking for a good 1440p gaming monitor any recommendations? I was looking into buying the one in the video but I don't know. Is there a newer model just as good or better at a 27inch size? Thx.
Think it’s worth it in 2020? Also will it do my PC some justice? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xf8PGc
my micro center has the asus for 629 and the acer is 550,,im going with the asus..
How has the audio been? Was thinking about getting audioengine a2+ wireless speaker system in case audio wasn’t that great.
your intro made me exit the video
The verbal diarrhea is strong in this one. He stops talking shit at @7:25
When you game on it does it show full screen with screen to body ratio 100%
Terrible review. I shit on this review.
im getting one when i get my paycheck lol upgrading from a crappy 1080 59hz 5ms monitor.
Why doesnt anyone get a clean actual good setup 😫 im tired
Le *epic* monitor
When you showed that you actually have two monitors I was like :0 When you showed the before and after I was like :00. This video is a real poggies, sir
I have the pg278qr
This monitor work ps4 pro?any one have video?thanks
Acer XB271HU is a excellent equivalent to this monitor for $200 less.
The next best thing from this is the asus 4k pg27uq but that's like $1,400
is it good for photo editing too my friend?
after 3 years would you say the same that it is a perfect monitor?
*_1:48_* FHD vs WQHD *_2:36_* I knew it. *_3:16_* I/O.
pricedrop takes so long, i am now officially done waiting and just never buy one. it has taken so long that if i ever buy one now, the price is going to drop sooner or later down the line and me waiting was all for nothing. screw u asus but you could do a pricedrop 1.5 years ago but didnt, u get greedy and now you lose costommers
The extra 21mhz is nice if you like a smoother image however it introduces a bit more smearing with its increased response time compared to keeping it at 144hz. Competitively its better to keep it at 144.
{fun story for everyone} so i ordered the Razer Kraken Pro v2 quartz headset from an online gaming store... i woke up one day and checked my emails and it stated that my item has been delivered lmao so i walked outside and im confused because the box was like a kiddy pool and im prettyyyy sure a set of headphones wouldnt be in there. so i opened it and it was this exact monitor i had originally payed $105 aud for the headset it's crazy because i needed a new monitor so bad because my cat knocked my old one down and i was planning to buy one after i bought the headset lifes crazy lmfao edit: i forgot to mention this was a week ago lol
Does the monitor fit on a gas arm thanks
Thank you for the review. :) This is among the few monitors I am considering to purchase as my first high refresh rate gaming monitor, although I am debating between this and the MG279Q, the Free-Sync variant of this monitor since Free Sync could now work on NVIDIA GPUs.
I finally picked one of these monitors up. I thought I could get more that 60hz, but I was wrong. 144hz is still a dream, ASUS used basic displayport cords and my RTX 2080 doesn't like the cheap stuff. The display is really nice, I am glad I chose to upgrade. I have a better displayport cable on the way, I'll see if this monitor really was a good choice.
I just bought one for 4000 dkk or 455 GBP at today's exchange rate. Considering the Danish VAT of 25% I think that is a more than reasonable price for a monitor of this quality. So if you pay the MSRP today you basically are getting screwed over. But find a good sale and you can probably get it at least 25% cheaper than that.
I want to buy a SAMSUNG LED screen LC27HG7OQQM 2K, lms, 144hz, HDR but the GTX 1080 screen card Are there any problems due to free sync either buy asus pg279q
Still using this monitor since Dec 2015 when I first received it. Still working perfectly and there has been nothing released since in the 27" space that matches the specs for the PG279Q. I love it!
tn over ips all day long
Is this still the best monitor in 2019? Do you think it is still a worthwhile buy? Price hasnt changed lmao
ips glow... cant use it thats why. need to return it.
it's 2019 and I am thinking to buy this monitor now!! Is this worth buying this model now when there are lots of others in the market? I have a PG278QR which i am returning and thinking of getting this . . .any thoughts/comments/suggestions?
