In 2021 this is now considered a phone
2021? Someone? hahahah
watching this on this tablet lmfao
Still using mine almost 8 years later.
2021 anyone??
I'm using this in 2020 still satisfed
Use mine on Mavic pro drone runs the app ok just fits in mavic controller and screens bright and clear
in 2020.......LOL
Only the second ever Android tablet I bought after the Motorola Zoom. Still have it. Still use it as an eReader and some simple games and YouTube for my kids. Pretty funny that this has wireless charging from 2013 which is still relevant.
This has been one of my all-time favorite tablets. I think I bought 4 or 5 of these. I kept buying them and then giving them away when someone needed a tablet. Such a great little gem with 323 PPI (pixels per inch) for just $229.00!!!
Still interesting
This was my dream tab at that time. Unfortunately i could not find it in my country as nexus was not popular in my region 😢
Damn, even today this tablet still looks good. It's a shame Android pretty much abandoned ship on tablets.
Just found my good old Nexus 7, so I decided to rewatch this gem. Good times.
That tablet was leading the tablet industry for many years. It was dope!
Man, I miss this thing... My first ever Android 😂😂
Still using my Nexus 7 and still loves it. Yes it's slow at times and it isn't perfect compared to new tablets but the size, the screen, build and portability is excellent, I love to travel with it :) I have been waiting for Google to make a remake of the Nexus 7 but that is never going to happen... so I'll be clinging on to my precious Nexus 7 until it dies in my hands.
Still using this in August 2020. I also have the Samsung Tab Pro 8.4. Both still stunning tablets given that they're 6-7 years old! Tablets sort of hit a wall a while back. I might root and install a custom rom on the N7. But even on an older version of Android it's still blazing fast and my daily driver for a tablet. Battery has held up too!
Watching this video on an iPad Pro (3rd gen) lamenting the loss of my nexus 7.
Me watching on my Nexus 7 in July 2020..
Just redid mine and it's way better than any new 1s
Nexus really was an amazing line. Recently replaced the digitizer on mine, so thankfully the battery is still pretty good, it got shelved for a few years. I Saw Lineage has been keeping the tablet alive. Major update is on my to-do list, but it's pretty much retired to the kids at this point. It streams and does some games and that's all they need
Got two of these, and I still use them. Mostly they sit next to my Work laptop and are used to play Films, Music or Youtube vids when I am using the laptop to actually do some work. I haven't the heart to throw them in the trash quite yet! A tip to speed it up is to clear the download cache's after you have upgraded to v6.0.1
I miss mine
Look at that T H I C C boi!
Still have both gens of the Nexus 7 lol. The new one (the one in the vid) still works perfectly fine, it handles simple games and YouTube and much more without any form of lag... even the battery is still good. But the older Nexus 7 is much slower and the battery runs out quicker hehe.
Nexus 7 (2012) was my first android device .. I miss it till date
Using a Samsung Galaxy tab a+ now but god do i miss this tablet
Mine just had its Touch Digitizer died. I have not dropped it or mishandled it. I have not even game a lot on it, I only kept it on my bag and when i tried to view webpage on it, the touchscreen just died. really want to repair and order a replacement for the digitizer since i still like it just as this video does. It has become part of my life as well
that's almost considered a phone by now :D
Nice video. Agree that it is near perfect for light duty applications. Bought ours refurbished in 2014 and use it mostly when we travel. I had great screen resolution for the time and it still holds its own. My phone died on Saturday night and I used the Nexus 7 until I got to Verizon on Monday. Thanks to this video I just learned about the wireless charging!
I got one for my 7th birthday I’m 12 now
How do I fix my bricked nexus 7
I regrettably bought one from their store a long while ago and, well, it was sluggish and practically dysfunctional - my only remorse is that I never, ever returned the awful POS which performed atrociously. A shameful product of Google's history... After troubleshooting everything, it was simply buggered at the start of any processing strength and I threw the tablet into the bin as a hopeless cause - didn't even care to deal with Google to return this abysmal junk.
I wish Google would come back with a new one in the future
But iş so lat in sharing
I used it for almost 7 years every day ,yesterday I shut down it and it put to recharge the battery and it doesn't work anymore.nothing charge,no booting,no recovery mode..can be the battery?
I agree it's the best
Can we root it to anroid 10?
Only tablet that comes close is the huwaii mediappad m5. Too bad ROM is in Chinese. I have an iPad mini, but I want Android.
Compare this turd today, 7 years older and acts 30 years younger, what a douche
Just got mine 😝

awesome tablet awesome unboxing awesome you
thumbs up! plus I liked the vid! hint hint
I have the 2012 nexus 7 and I really didn't like it. But I'm sure this one is much better.
Nexus 7 caus its easier to hold sometimes u can put both of them in a big pocket but putting an ipad mini in your pocket is like a dinner plate in your pocket plus it does not sound right
Damn, you were hot back then...
I'm using a nexus right now
Hey @Austin Evans, Do you think that the Google Nexus 7 2013 is still worth it, especially with the lollipop update coming out?
I have the nexus 7 and I love it!!
so how do you think this compares to the samsung galaxy tab 3 8.0?
Watch this in 0.5x speed, you'll thank me later
Its awesome no question

Lag on the new nexus 7.... Doubt it...
I'm on my nexus, looking on your channel for this EXACT video!!! Great job!
I've watched this on both my old nexus 7 and my new one
Watching this on my nexus 7
Watching it on the nexus 7 but not the 2013 one. ;-)
Watching this on 2013 nexus 7
Do you think I should replace my Galaxy tab 2 7.0 with this tablet? It still works well but the battery on this device doesn't last more than one day with moderate use. I also like having the latest OS without having to flash the devise.
