I have the same model. but recently i am observing stuttering and lagging in gaming. Especially in games such as Fifa 18 or Hitman 2 (2018). With the specs in the laptop, i should not be experiencing this. So what should i do? is it because of the Heating issue? will buying a cooling pad work then??

I also have the same specs only difference is that I have 12GB of RAM (4+8) , mine do run GTA 5 on Very High + Ultra with x8 Reflection , slider on max and x16 AF , long shadows and high detail streaming turned on in Advance Graphics , temps never go beyond 80 on the cpu and the gpu stays on 74 degrees celsius , not bad for single fan laptop and also I'm NOT using any cooling fan or vacuum cooler , gpu clock always at 1785mhz with .925V thanks to msi afterburner , If you're interested I can give you my config for you to lower the temps of your laptop
