I remembered when this video was just uploaded, it had so many dislikes (most of them from Asus fanboys or FX504 owners). 2 years on, it seems many people are finally catching on. Asus TUF lineup is shit. There's a reason why it's so cheap.

Been using this laptop for 3 years, and the performance has been decreasing over time, the temp on fortnite / valorant neve got below 80 degrees even though the fan are super loud. The boot time takes too long and so many fps drops in games.
After 2 years of experience im saying this guy is right and i made the worst choice my life buying this laptop lot of stutters, thermel throtlling ,hdmi disconnecting problems when downloading games, stucking, when gaming terible sound comes and fps droping at the same time(recently) omg i thought i never buy a laptop again this is so frustrating
The game experient is good even the fan are so loud but after all. The real shit thinks about this laptop will came after you use this shit in 1-2 years. Because the laptop have power throttling issues. The impact that you have after that you cant play the game smothly. The laptop can play the triple a game but in game play you always have the fps drop.

If you google the hinges problem with this laptop you will see alot of people with the same problem. Your screen will fall apart in about a year time even if you are carefull with your laptop. The screen opens and closes to heavily for the cheap materials around the hinges which causes the iron parts to break the plastic casing around the screen. Now i have a laptop dat you cant carry around because you cannot close it anymore.Honestly it is so horribly build (Yes i can see the insides now because of the breaking) that i will never buy any asus again. Good luck with searching for your other laptop.
I wish I didn't buy it. After two months of use it simply stopped working. A friend of mine fixed it but it goes like shit, it goes slow and I didn't even install many things. It's a crap, I feel conned.
Please forget Intel utilities and use Rog ones. Simply. That's all. Even for the gaming mouse. And you'll enjoy the laptop fully. I was about to buy an ssd or Intel Optane but I'm reconsidering it as it works very good by now. One word about the fan : even at full power you're the only one to hear it, in Zoom video people only hear your voice : noise cancelling is wonderful. Quite a good laptop. EDIT : except for the hinge... a real shame.

lol i bought this like a year ago the coolings doggshit.. for like work / editing and shit its good but if your planning on playing games for hours on end or something just buy a desktop this shit will get hella hot n start beeping and shit eventually prolly fry tf out your board.

This laptop cost me $650 on Newegg when I bought it. I have the i5 8400h version and its a fantastic laptop. I've used it for gaming every single day without any issues. Your standards are absurd if you think you can find a better bang for your buck.
He's right! Dont get it. Mine crapped itself after a year! The wifi just stopped working on it! Even after a reset it still does that. Also sometimes it just runs slow and glitch without a single virus on it. NOT recomended!

Just ordered the 2021 TUF A15 with Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3070, the tuf laptops came such a long way but still looking very similar on the keyboard and panel bezels

I have bought Asus FX504GM in Pantip Plaza mall Bangkok. They smiled while selling me this laptop. Next day i flight away to my country. Now under load CPU works with max TDP 26 Wt. No gaming only frustrating!

That I bought Asus tuf laptop 504 series in 2018 (it was awesome at the beginning but there was screen bleed in it which I got replaced in Hyderabad (in warrenty period )they said they put a new display (I felt happy) but just before my the last day of warranty of my laptop (1 year) there was a horizontal line on middle of my screen which got doubled after a couple of days and a couple of other lines are also started appearing on my screen...from that day...I suggested every person not to buy Asus laptops if bought for any reason I said them that it would work only for one year after you can buy a new one (Asus wants that) actually to make you buy laptops (for them 65k and 70k is like a small amount ) for me it so huge ..now I have buy a display for that ...which I'm hesitating bcuz they lost the trust...then you may think that how come I first bought this...this is bcuz of my dad (he is a huge fan of asus literally he bought 2 phones of same company ) so what I personally suggest is plz don't buy Asus incase if you bough it throw it after one year and buy other companie laptops But I think the service center did something when they took my laptop for changing the display ..this can be concluded that 1 . Their service is like this(pethetic)2. They replace the item with the refurbished one3 .Asus display life span is 6 months...I personally prefer to believe the 3rd one..that's why I didn't put the display till date....

ASUS TUF FX504GD - ES51 has i5-8300H and GTX 1050, had 8GB memory but added another 8GB for Dual Channel 16GB, also cloned Windows 10 from terrible slow FireCuda hybrid HDD to a 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD. The Touchpad is glitchy as sometimes the Cursor would not move and had to try again. Sensitivity adjustment settings did nothing. This had the 60Hz TN panel display, at angle views it was terrible as picture fades/ color washed out. But making the upgrades to memory from 8GB to 16GB and r&r the HDD with a SSD was worth it , seeing much improvement in performance. Under Voltage the CPU. Not necessary as does little for FPS in games but in Benchmarks you get higher scores. ThrottleStop and XTU don't bother. Go to windows Panel Control and into Power Options, set for High Performance profile. The i5-8300H will run constant at 3.9GHz or Turbo speed. However, when you run a game or program/ app that places a heavy work load, use the Keyboard and change the FAN Speed Setting from Quiet, Normal and Fast to Fast. Yes! it will be loud and you will feel the heat blowing out the exhaust ports. Your games and apps will run smooth, but if running a Benchmark your score will be just below average from those you see posted in reviews. Reason, different GPU driver, older BIOS version, Benchmark version not the same, or the configuration of the tested laptop in the review is different than yours. You have i5 and they have i7 or both have i7 but the GPU one having GTX 1050 other GTX 1050Ti or GTX 1060. Results are for comparison only. Back to the Under volting of -120mv or -125mv or -135 mv. Before using XTU or ThrottleStop, you had gone into BIOS and select DEFAULT, Save and Exit, then windows Control Panel in Power Options select Balance. Run app such as HWinfo64 and CineBench R15 or Cinebench R20 in Multi core. You should see in HWinfo64 that PL1 is running about 39W to 41W with 45W being maximum and PL2 should read 80W. (Normally in Idle, PL1 = 28W and PL= 45W). If you want to Undervolt then try it, but with the ASUS 2018 models why bother at all. Now if you Idle Temperature are high and run hot all the time. Recommend disassembly as taking bottom cover off and renewing the Thermal paste on the GPU and CPU using Arctic MX-4 or Kryonaut Thermal paste / compound. Never ever use Thermal Pads. Watch a few YouTube videos if you are not acquainted how to remove bottom panel cover and remove copper heat sink assembly to get to the GPU and CPU.
Dont buy from asus especialy this model
Bad adapter heats up and ruins yor drives, also the fans go out of balance quickly too

ASUS has fallen and failing in the laptop department. You are much better off purchasing a Lenovo or ACER laptop. Oh! ASUS does manufacture very good desktop motherboards as that is where the company's strength is at. Presently, ASUS is constructing their laptops with previous year components or a bit outdated and selling it like they are just the latest thing. Just saying ASUS is lagging behind a good 6 months. Their competitors are beating them to the punch.

Does this support, armory crate ? Tried downloading it shows the error prerequisite update required when searching for update doesnt show any. And also I have the similar spec laptop but I only am able to see 60hz rather than 120hz and the display panel says pnp monitor which is kinda weird.
