I've never liked Ashton as a brand & I'm an Australian hahah. Thank you for doing this video & proving what I've always known. As for that bonfire, I wouldn't recomment it only because it's probably got asbestos paint on it having come out of Chinaand before anyone insinuates that I'm being racist, no, I'm not racist, I'm simply telling the truth :-)

Everything with the Ashton name on is rubbish guitars and amps included.
We call them trashton here in oz. Sadly thats their standard for all instruments.
Similar ukulele's in B&M for £6.99 without the Australian designed logo and bag.

Hi! When I bought my first ukulele, I went to a music shop and they sold me this one, Ashton uku100. Well, I was completely ignorant about how an ukulele has to sound, so I was pretty happy, at first. I paid it 40€. After some time, a lot of my friends bought some different brand of ukulele, and I had the possibility to understand HOW AWFUL this one was. The sound is just a "plastic sound". I don't know how to call it, but it is NOT warm or clear, it is just like playing a toy - and I could hear some ukulele that sounded VERY GOOD, even if they had the same price of mine. After one year and a half, after I used it but not more than twice a month THE BRIDGE HAS BROKEN, resulting my ukulele is now useless. DO NOT BUY ASHTON UKULELE. There are other brands that sell something really better at the same price!
